Why do people go to the mountains?
It is quite difficult to answer this question, because everyone has their own reasons and motives. To get more answers, last year we conducted a survey on "Why do people go hiking?" The answers are very diverse, well, read for yourself:
- The thrill of overcoming difficulties. I get indescribable pleasure when, after traveling 20-25 km for the day, I sit by the fire with friends, away from civilization, out of the network coverage and with a lot of impressions from what I've seen and experienced during the day))
- In the mountains, I realize that even though I am a "little" man, I am still able to achieve something. And this strengthens the feeling that I am living, not existing...
- A clear goal (even if I am lost), the ability to give 100 percent to achieve it, a tempered spirit, a reason to respect yourself and believe in yourself (not contrived). The future is not scary, because now you know that you will not give up and cope with anything. Friends are being tested, the point of reference in the system of values is changing. Now the main thing is your team and yourself, a man with a capital letter, a real man. The hero you were looking for in books, looking at you from the mirror, disguised as an office plankton. Turns out, the coolest thing is to challenge yourself and win. That's what mountains are to me. + the romance mentioned earlier.
- The life of an office plankton is too boring.
- You have to carry a 30 kg backpack, to eat what you cook by yourself, to forget about time.
- Because you want to live your life to the fullest, not to exist! Because life without new experiences, new acquaintances, without adrenaline – it's not life, it is EXISTENCE! For me, hiking is an opportunity to live several lives filled with great moments. It's an opportunity to grasp the greatness of our nature and the universe...
- Because you get incredible emotions. It's not something you can write in a few words. Every meter on the climb gives you a new feeling.
- And the stone under your head, which you forgot to remove when you put the tent!:)
- During the hike you can relax, there is no internet, no signal, and you can only hear the sounds of nature – birdsong, babbling brooks. So, all urban problems disappear and other problems appear – you have run out of condensed milk, bread is dried up, you must dress up warmer at night, because it will be frosty.
- The opportunity to live two lives instead of one, I always have the feeling that the hike is my little life)
- Hiking, especially with extreme situations, gives a kind of reset, a reassessment of values, when you suddenly feel what is truly important and what is fuss. It's especially funny when you realize that you can light a fire with money :)))
- A break from the urban gloom and drabness =)
- Sometimes the mountains are cozier than home, I feel freer in the mountains, and of course I get more energy and wisdom from them.
- It's hard to say why you love a particular person, and so here. I can list a lot of positive moments, such as: communication, night gatherings by the fire with a guitar, the magnificent pictures that open before your eyes, the opportunity to relax from the bustle of the city ... Plus romance, inevitably associated with tourism: heavy backpack, soaked clothes, burnt sneakers. But all this will not be enough))
