I’d like to sincerely thank Natalka and our team leader, Oleksandr Lyakh, for an incredible hike! From the very beginning, it was clear that the route was in good hands. I was particularly impressed by their ability to remain calm and confident in challenging situations, make the right decisions quickly, and support the team. It’s in moments like these that true professionalism really shines through.
I’d also like to highlight their wonderful approach to working with the group. The hike included participants with varying levels of fitness, but no one was left out. The wishes of both the more experienced and less experienced members of the group were taken into account. For those who had the strength and desire, an additional climb was organized. Thanks to this, everyone got exactly the kind of trip that matched their abilities and expectations.
A special thank you for the food! It was wonderful that even in the mountains, the meals were not just filling but truly delicious. The dishes prepared by the team leader pleasantly surprised us with their interesting recipes, variety, and home-cooked flavor. After a full day, they gave us energy and created a special, cozy atmosphere.
For me, this hike was special because it was my first three-day hike. It gave me incredible emotions, a priceless experience, and proved once again that the mountains aren’t just about kilometers and peaks, but also about people, the team, and moments that stay with you for a long time.
Thank you, Oleksandr, for the excellent organization, support, sense of humor, and positive attitude that accompanied us throughout the entire trip. After a trip like this, we’re left not only with vivid memories and wonderful new friends, but also with a strong desire to head back to the mountains with the Kuluar team. See you again on the trails!
This was my first hike in the Carpathians, so I wanted to choose something easy, but at the same time
interesting. A friend who had already gone on several hikes with you recommended the KULUAR company
to me
Guide Anna is the best thing that can happen to you on a hike with Kuluar! She has an incredible attitude, great energy, and a passion for what she does.
This was my first hike, and the tour leader played a big role—I’m absolutely thrilled with the route and the way Anna suggested extra walks so we could discover beautiful scenery. I’m so grateful for this opportunity, the heartfelt conversations, the support, and all the awesome photos.

Special thanks to Oleksandr Lyakh—he’s very pleasant, sincere, and warm-hearted. He took care of the group and thought of ways to make the itinerary more interesting. He treated us to banosh with lard!

Thank you so much for this unforgettable experience!
Thank you to Lesya for a wonderful trip, and to Kuluar for an incredibly interesting itinerary!
It was action-packed, beautiful, and unforgettable. I highly recommend this trip to anyone who wants to explore the mountains, try their hand at hiking, and see the incredible, still relatively unknown, yet fantastically beautiful nature.
I’d also like to mention that I was very lucky with our trip leader—it was incredibly comfortable, easy, and enjoyable with Lesya. And as a nice bonus, all the participants received incredible photos from Lesya.
Thank you so much for this unforgettable experience! 💛
I went on my first 3-day camping trip with KULUAR, and it was absolutely incredible. Our guide, Sasha Lyakh, basically threw us a picnic with a bit of hiking thrown in 😅—just kidding, of course, because we actually had to walk a lot. But given the conditions Alexander created for the participants, the effort didn’t even feel like a burden! It’s so nice that there are still people as dedicated to their work as Alexander. Sasha shared his dream of going to Everest Base Camp. KULUAR, please help make Sasha’s dream come true—the work of people like him is worth its weight in gold! Thank you to the coordinators and the whole team for such a wonderful trip. Despite being tired, the very next day I was already picking out a tour for my next trip😅
The emotions are just incredible!
I’m so grateful to Kuluar—this was already my fourth trip with you! I’m glad Oleksandr Lyakh was our guide: it was safe, comfortable, interesting, fun, and the food was delicious! I relaxed, felt inspired, and I’m already thinking about the next trip! Thank you to your team for your professionalism and teamwork! Best of luck to you all, and see you soon!
It was a wonderful, unforgettable trip. Oleksandr Lyakh did an absolutely fantastic job! He’s a true master of his craft. Thank you for the great time!
Thank you for the magical journey. In this hectic life, you forget to even look around—to see how beautiful the world is. It was like a breath of fresh air. For three days, I was able to forget about my everyday problems.
Special thanks to Oleksandr: If you’re dreaming of losing weight in the mountains, he definitely won’t let you. His signature dishes were unbeatable.
Thank you for “The Sea in the Mountains.”
Sunrise in the mountains is the most beautiful moment.
Awesome! The experience of this hike was incredible. Thank you to our team leader, Roman Kozarenko, for organizing such a wonderful hike, for the delicious food and treats to go with our coffee :) for the interesting stories, for inspiring us to make new discoveries, and for setting such a great pace for the hike. When things get unpredictable, he always has a Plan B, a Plan C...
Usually, for a team leader, a trip is just one of many; for me, it’s a memory that will last a lifetime. Thank you to Kuluar, Roman, and consultant Oleksandra for the amazing experience, the great mood, the rest and relaxation, and the inspiration for new adventures.
A big thank you to Oleksandr for this hike.
Interesting stories, a friendly atmosphere, and support from the team leader throughout the entire hike.
What surprised me the most was the food. At the start of the route, Oleksandr gave everyone a meal pack)) and then, during the long break, he even treated us to more snacks😀 I even brought some treats home—I couldn’t finish them all. You really don’t have to worry about food at all.
Thank you to the team leader for agreeing to meet us at dawn on Kin Grofensky—getting up at 4 a.m. was really tough for all of us. We saw the Carpathian Sea and the first rays of the sun 😍
This hike gets a 10 out of 10! Thank you for the emotions and memories!
This was my first experience with Kuluar, and I’m sure it won’t be my last! Nazar is calm, attentive, and always there to help. The trip was friendly, cozy, and full of delicious food! I’m so glad I chose this route. I’m incredibly grateful!
Oleksandr is a very calm, attentive, and experienced team leader. Throughout the entire hike, there was never a sense of rushing or pressure. No one hurried us along or forced us to run to keep up. This is very important to me, because I usually walk a little slower than most groups.
At the same time, I never once felt left behind. Oleksandr gave me a walkie-talkie, and to be honest, that was a revelation for me. If I fell a little behind, I could still contact him at any moment or get answers to my questions. Even when the main group was already at the spring or taking a break, I felt completely at ease. Thanks to this, for the first time, I didn’t spend the entire hike trying to catch up with anyone—I simply enjoyed the mountains.
Oleksandr told us a lot about the area, its history, and the people, and answered every question that came up along the way. It was clear that he knows this region very well. I also really liked that he’s friends with the local shepherds and cheese makers. We were even able to leave our backpacks with friends and take a leisurely walk to the lake, and at the cheese-making workshops, we were treated to cheese almost everywhere we went. Moments like these are truly memorable.
Everything was also very well organized at the campsites. He immediately explained where it was best to pitch our tents, where to find water, and what to look out for. If anyone needed help, he was always there to assist. The safety briefing was clear and free of unnecessary formalities.
And Oleksandr’s culinary skills are something else entirely. I’ve never eaten so well on a hike before.
The menu was very varied; everything was delicious, filling, and well thought out. We had fresh-brewed coffee, delicious tea, borscht, lard, energy bars, snacks, and nuts. It was clear that Oleksandr really cared about making sure everyone ate well. He constantly reminded us about meals, called everyone over, and checked to make sure no one was left hungry. You can really feel that kind of care.
For me, this hike was a perfect example of how good organization isn’t about just one thing, but about dozens of small details—from the route and atmosphere to the guide’s attitude, the food, the gear, and the sense of safety and care. That’s exactly why I want to come back again. Thank you to the entire Kuluar team for these few days in the mountains.
By the way, Yaroslav Rudev—he wasn't on the list (
He's really wonderful, served a delicious meal, will tell you stories, and play the guitar—thank you so much
Every year, we make sure to plan a trip to the mountains with Kuluar.
We chose this tour operator because everything is always well thought out—we don’t have to plan or organize anything, so we can just relax and enjoy the scenery.
This was the first five-day mountain hike of my life.
Before that, I’d only been on a few one-day round-trip hikes.
Here’s a brief summary of my impressions from the hike:
Endless panoramas: views stretching for tens of kilometers in every direction.
The grandeur of the 2,000-meter peaks: the chance to conquer all of Ukraine’s highest summits.
Contrasting landscapes: lush mountain meadows give way abruptly to rugged rocky scree slopes.
The high-mountain lake “Brebeneskul” is stunningly beautiful.
The work of our group leader Olga and the warm, friendly atmosphere she created on the hike deserve a separate story highlighting her best qualities!!!
