Trek around Mont Blanc is a famous route in the Alps, which goes around the entire massif of the highest peak in Europe. To pass it completely, you need about 11 days, because the length of the route is about 170 kilometers, and the total altitude gain is more than ten thousand meters. Just imagine having a huge backpack during the entire journey - that could be rather a difficult task.
We offer to visit the most beautiful and really iconic places of the trek, to see the Mont Blanc from different angles and to visit all three countries where the route passes: Italy, France and Switzerland! At the same time we will minimize the difficulty:
Our route is laid out in three main valleys where the Tour du Mont Blanc takes place: Val Veny and Val Ferret, in the neighborhood of Courmayeur, and, of course, in the "Mecca" of world mountaineering and trekking - the valley of Chamonix.
From the many different options of the classic TMB, we chose those parts of the trek that allow us to see the most beautiful landscapes and places of interest around Mont Blanc.
So as to save our energy and take time better to enjoy the finest views of the trek, we use local eco-buses and ski lifts where possible to get to the start of the day's treks.

The group will meet in Courmayeur and settle into a mountain valley camping. Here you would observe the rocky and snowy peaks right from the tent. You can arrive during the day, there is much to do in Courmayeur as it is a famous resort in the Alps and there is a wide variety of places to try the national Italian cuisine or do some shopping in the tourist stores. In the afternoon we do a check-in in camping where our team leader will be waiting for you, and in the evening we will have our first briefing and introduction of the group over the dinner.
We set off in the morning from the camping towards the Col de la Seine pass on the French border. Our route takes us through a mountain valley called Val Veny, starting with a wide road leading to the Elizabeth shelter and then turning into a path towards the science and ecology center and the pass itself. After lunch we descend back to the camping. On our way we stop by a small lake where you can take some beautiful pictures of the mountains and crystal clear water.
Travel time: 6-7 h; distance 18 km; altitude gain: 800 m, altitude drop 800 m.
Today we will discover the mountain valley from the other side of Courmayeur. To do this, we will first take the bus and after a change in the center find ourselves almost at the border with Switzerland, from where we will start the ascent to the so-called balcony, with stunning views of the peaks and walls of the entire Mont Blanc massif. You will also see the famous Grand Jorasses, the Aiguille du Rochefort and the bizarre rock of Dent du Géant, which means "giant's tooth" in French. By the end of the day we descend to Courmayeur, where you can relax and, if you wish, walk along the streets of a small but cozy Italian town.

Here we say goodbye to Courmayeur, pack our tents and backpacks, and take a bus to Chamonix through the famous tunnel under Mont Blanc, running for almost 12 kilometers right in the middle of the mountain. Here we settle into a camping for the rest of our journey and go sightseeing around Chamonix, which there are even more than in Italy. Here we can visit the mountaineering museum or the crystal museum, or we can just walk down the main street of the town, shopping or viewing the mountains directly above us. Today will be dedicated to leisure and city sightseeing, and tomorrow we will set off again for some exciting trekking in the valley.

All the next days of our trek we will walk around Chamonix, but it must be said that the distances here are not small at all, because Chamonix is not only the town itself, located in the center of the valley, but also all the surrounding villages that are part of the commune, such as Les Houches, Le Tour, Argentières and others. We will start by taking a ski lift from the town center to the summit of Brevent 2525m, which is right in front of Mont Blanc and offers a stunning view of the entire massif. We will also visit the beautiful Lac Blanc lake, after which we will descend to the town, where in the evening we can walk along the streets of Chamonix and taste the famous local ice cream.
Travel time: 5-6 hours; distance 8 km; altitude gain: 250 m, altitude drop 500 m.
Today we are expecting one of the most famous must-see points in Chamonix - the ascent to the observation deck on the top of Egüy-du-Midi, at an altitude of 3842 meters. From here, climbers take the "traverse of the three peaks" route to Mont Blanc, and all of them are visible from here, as if at arm's length. The mountain is surrounded by giant glaciers and eternal snow with appropriate weather conditions - so don't forget to take warm clothes with you today. We'll need them when we visit the next attraction - an ice cave carved right inside the Mer de Glace glacier. You can also take here with a ski lift, but due to the yearly decreasing of the ice, now you have to go to the cave by special iron stairs, along which there are marks indicating at what level the glacier used to be years before. In the evening, as usual, we go down for a walk and dinner in Chamonix.
Travel time: 5-6 h; distance 8 km; altitude gain: 100 m, altitude drop 450 m.
We will take a ski lift up to the Col de Balme pass, which separates France and Switzerland. From here we will enjoy a breathtaking view of Mont Blanc, where we will have a short photo session and if you like, walk to the nearby peaks on the Swiss side of the border. In the afternoon, taking another lift, we will go to the viewing point of the Argentière glacier. Here you can see huge glittering blocks of ice - seracs, which are constantly moving and create an incredible landscape on the background of the surrounding mountains. In the evening we descend to the camping and have dinner. We celebrate the well passed trek.

In the morning after breakfast we say goodbye and, filled with exciting impressions and the mountain energy, participants leave for the airport or continue their journey.
Depending on the weather conditions, condition and general wishes of the group, the leader has the right to make changes to the route.
To participate in the hike, you must be free of diseases from this list.
Throughout the program we will stay at the Chamonix and Courmayeur campings in our own tents (you can bring your own or rent a place through our manager). Both campings have hot showers and sanitary facilities with sinks for washing up, as well as separate sinks for washing dishes.
As always, we recommend buying tickets in advance. You should buy tickets only after we have confirmed your participation in the trip.

There are plug sockets in the sanitary facilities of the campsite where you can recharge your electronic devices, but you will have to leave them there unattended. Therefore, it is better to bring a power bank, which you can safely leave charging overnight and then charge your phone and other devices you need.
There is a Wi-Fi in campings but it works properly only near the reception and unfortunately, the signal does not reach the tents. Mobile communication and 4G is available almost everywhere along the route.
The entire trek follows marked hiking trails of medium difficulty. The ascents and descents are not too steep, but the terrain is truly mountainous: you may encounter rickety rocks or slippery sections, so you should be careful when choosing footwear for the route. In early July there may be snow on some sections, and from mid-summer onwards you can do the trail even in sneakers.
If the team leader has met or even exceeded your expectations, we recommend that you thank him/her with a tip of 20-50 euros per participant. You can also leave a tip online on your team leader's page.

Tipping is optional, but usually the team goes the extra mile and will appreciate your gratitude.
