We want this taste to be felt not only by adults on one of our tours in Turkey, but also by children with their parents. For this purpose we have developed a special light program - Happy familyTurkey trip.
It runs along one of the most beautiful parts of the Lycian Trail along the Mediterranean Sea. Short day hikes allow even small children to cope with the route, and the beauty around will not let the adults get bored.

The recommended age for children to participate in the hike - from 6 years. It is advisable for both parents to be present, as you need to carry things for yourself and for the child, as well as to have time to keep an eye on the restless child, because there are so many interesting things to see in Turkey!

The program of the trek was modified several times, we tried to make it as rich and comfortable as possible. That's why the trek goes along one of the most beautiful parts of the Lycian Trail along the Mediterranean Sea. Short hikes will allow even small children to cope with the route, and the beauty around will not bore the adults.
More than 12,000 participants have already gone to the mountains with the Kuluar and 97,8% were satisfied.
The group gathers at the agreed upon location of the Antalya bus station and takes a bus route to the town of Ulupinar. Have you ever seen a live trout? Today you will see them. Here, in Ulupinar, the river of the same name flows, and in it, since ancient times, this exquisite fish has been bred. Picturesque restaurants, where it is served, are located right above the creeks, where these fish are teeming with them. But today we are not going to stay near trout, because we are going to have a small, but interesting trip along the Lycian trail. It will start for us first along the riverbank, then through pomegranate orchards, and then will lead us to a wonderful forest filled with the scent of pine and the noise of wild olives and even pistachio trees. We will spend two hours on the way and we will cross the Ulupinar river by wading (don't worry - it's the shallowest place), then we will stop and spend the night on the slope of Chimaera mountain.
Distance: 3,6 km; climb - 87 m; drop - 220 m.
Today you will be climbing in the mountains. Don't worry - it's not too high! But after reaching this height, you will find yourself on a wonderful mountain, in the depths of which, according to legend, a fire-spewing creature - Chimera - is safely hidden, and it makes itself known by islands of fire breaking through to the mountain's surface. Once, thousands of years ago, the beloved Lycian princess, the hero Bellerophonte, riding on the horse Pegasus (the one with wings) defeated this monster with a lion head, a goat body and a dragon tail, by pelting it with stones. As a result of this battle a whole mountain was formed, under which the immortal chimera is still breathing fire... :) After that we start the descent to the seashore. What we are going to see is Cirali, a sparsely populated compact Turkish resort with a great beach, which the tortoises love. You can say that it is their home, because they lay their eggs here in summer. And we'll make a home for ourselves in a tent in an equipped camping area, located a hundred meters from the sea. Breathe and admire, inspire and photograph. It's a great place to be!
Distance: 6.7 km; climb - 164 m; drop - 346 m.
This day we will visit several coves. The landscapes of the seashore, the colors of the sea and sky, and the scents of pines and grasses that unfold before us can be so inspiring that the group might want to walk a little more than they should today. And they won't regret it. After all, we'll go without any backpacks and tents - they'll stay at the campsite. But even if we walk a shorter distance, we will be still impressed. It is extremely beautiful and interesting everywhere!
To reach Karaburun bay, we will pass several flat capes, and along the way we will have a look at the fish-farm, a deserted mine, and will have a look at the unique thickets of tall reeds.
Distance: from 10.1 km; climb - 236 m; drop - 236 m.
Today is what you might call a historic day. I mean, a day to learn about the ancient history of Lycia. We pack and head south, first along the familiar beach and then to the valley where the remains of Olympos, a member of the ancient Lycian League of Cities (polis) and a major trading center during the Roman Empire, are located. Unfortunately, the time had not spared this city. Ruins of fortress walls, gates, walls of ruined buildings, sarcophagi, colonnade, ruins of Roman baths and ancient theater for 5 thousand people. Little remains of the former grandeur, but it is impressive!
After returning to "our" time we take our things and go on our way. Now we have to conquer Musa mountain. We are waiting for the ascent of 700 meters. Here on the top of the pass with picturesque panorama of the village, the Adrasan valley and the mountains around it we are sleeping overnight. We are going to stay overnight in tents next to the well, near to the shepherds shabby house, built about a hundred years ago.
Distance: 7,5 km;climb - 798 m; drop - 142 m.
Today we will first have to make the descent into the Adrasan Valley. Then, following the paths between the many greenhouses of the village of the same name, we will get to a wider road, and then we will take it to the bay of Adrasan. The local beach, however, like all local beaches, is very good, so here we take a break. Those who wish, along with a guide, can buy food at a nearby grocery store. We will spend the night almost on the beach. The local camping site is located 100 meters from the beach.
Distance: 7,3 km; climb - 62 m; drop - 720 m.
Today we have a busy day planned as we will be walking again to the neighboring cove. We have a long, gentle climb up a dirt road to a small pass, where we will have lunch in the shade of the trees, and then begin our descent to the resort town of Karajoz. On the way we will watch out not to inadvertently step on a land turtle. Although - the latter may be an interesting experience for children. After filling up with ice cream at one of the local stores, we will continue our way to a small cove, where thousands of years ago pirates hid their treasures. Today, however, it's a popular vacation spot, with several campsites. We will stay in one of them, on the seashore.
Distance: 13.4 km; climb - 488 m; drop - 471 m.
Today we are going to walk again without backpacks. We will have a short ascent along a comfortable wide road along the sea. Here we will see a picturesque panorama of the azure Mediterranean Sea with green mountainous promontories near the coast. We will walk to Cape Helidonia, overcoming the small difficulties, admiring the sea and breathing the clean air. Our goal is to reach the ridge of the cape, where the lighthouse is located. In the shade of a large tree on a wooden platform we will have lunch, and then go back to the camp in the Pirate Bay.
Distance: 9.9 km; climb - 363 m; drop - 363 m.
After waking up and having breakfast, we pack our backpacks. Here our hike through Turkey with children ends, and we return to Antalya by bus.
Since we won't be in Antalya until after 5 p.m., it's best to take night flights to get back home. And if you are not in a hurry you can book an inexpensive room at a hotel or guesthouse in the "old city" of Antalya - Kaleici. We are sure that the atmosphere of hospitable Turkey makes its guests take their time to leave and come back here again and again!
Discount for children under 15 years old is 30%, parents pay full price and do not get discounts for each other. Other discounts apply as standard.
Depending on weather conditions, condition and general wishes of the group the team leader has the right to make changes to the route.
This is a typical hike and we will live in tents along the route. The opportunity to take a hot shower will be in the campsites.
Citizens of Ukraine do not need a visa to Turkey. From documents you need only a valid passport.

As always, we recommend that you buy your tickets in advance, but only after we confirm your participation in the trip. The cheapest way to fly to Turkey is the low-cost airline Pegasus. They fly from Kharkov, Kiev and Lvov from Ukraine. They do not fly direct, but with a connection in Istanbul. But there is nothing wrong with that. Tickets start at 150 euros each way and you'd better buy them in advance. Allowed luggage: 20 kg + 10 kg of hand luggage.
Another good low-cost airline is Onur Air; it also flies from Odessa and connects with Istanbul. Allowed luggage: 30 kg + 10 kg of hand luggage.
From Kiev and other cities in Ukraine you can also fly with wings of Turkish Airlines. It will be a little more expensive.

According to the plan the group will meet with the teamleader in Antalya. More accurate and detailed information about the meeting place and the contacts of the teamleader will be sent to you 7-10 days before the start of the hiking, be sure to check your email!

Surely you are wondering what we will eat on a hike? Let's just say that you don't have to worry. Many participants say they eat better on the hike than they do at home. The basis of the menu is a simple meal of cereals and soups. You should not count on gourmet delicacies (although they can be).
If you do not eat any products, be sure to inform the manager so that the guide can slightly adjust the menu for you. We also recommend taking some yummies with you - nuts or sweets. Appetite on a hike is much better than at home.
Please note that the menu shown is indicative only. Guides usually have their signature dishes that they love to pamper participants with. And if you have dishes that you would like to receive on a hike, be sure to tell the manager about it, as the guide may have completely different preferences.

Turkey is a country with a mild subtropical climate. In summer it is very hot, so we try to put our hikes mainly in April-May and September-October, which are the best months for trekking in Turkey. The daytime temperature will be +25 +30 Celsius, and at night about +10.
The official money of Turkey - Turkish lira, but almost everywhere you can pay in dollars at the rate similar to the official. However you should have some amount of lira with you (it will be useful in the stores on the route in small villages), and it is better to change it in the exchange office at the bus station. By no means change it directly at the airport - the rate there is simply robbery! Take small currency with you, cab drivers will be happy to accept it. One dollar is about seven Turkish Liras.
The total amount of additional expenses not included in the price will be from 30€ + airfare. Of course, you can spend more if you don't limit yourself to local delicacies and souvenirs :)

The manager gives general recommendations, based on his experience and shares flights of other participants, so you can fly together. It's up to the participant to select and purchase his own convenient airfare. To book a place in the group you need to make an advance payment of 150 €. In the case of cancellation of the hike the money is not refundable, but can be transferred to another participant or remain in your "account" to pay for future hikes. The rest of the hike can be paid by transfer to the card (at least a week before the start) or hand it over to the teamleader on the first day of the hike. In case of departure from the route the money is not refundable.
