The Dolomites are a natural wonder, a place where the dreams of little travelers and their parents come true. The Dolomites offer endless beauty, fresh mountain air and relaxation for the whole family.
This hike in the Dolomites with children has short distances and interesting locations, entertainment and camping. You will find beautiful turquoise lakes, informative Alpine trails and even a hike to the top that is comfortable for little legs. Small day hikes allow children from the age of 8 to cope with the route, and the scenery around will not let adults get bored.
The best way to enjoy the Dolomites is a family hike.
Walking through the forest, mountain trails, getting acquainted with plants, streams and animals will help parents and children get closer during the vacation, a real adventure!

Experienced teamleaders of the Kuluar, experienced in trekking with children, will accompany the group throughout the trekking in the Dolomites and make your trip as safe and unforgettable as possible!
The children will have a group of about the same age. And parents will be surrounded by like-minded people who are in love with the mountains.
We do not cancel or reschedule groups. If a consultant has given you the go-ahead to buy a ticket, you can buy it. The program will not be canceled through our fault.

We meet at the bus station in the town of Cortina d'Ampezzo - the "Queen of the Dolomites". It has become a myth thanks to cinema, prominent personalities such as Ernest Hemingway, Brigitte Bardot and Ingrid Bergman, as well as incomparable alpine landscapes. We take a local minibus to the campsite and admire the scenery along the way. We check in at the campsite and have a rest after the transfer. We take a walk to Lake Pianozes (Lago di Pianozes), which is located near the town. We finish the first day with a delicious dinner, have a dating game party and fall asleep in our tents. Tomorrow we have our first hike in the mountains!
Our mornings start with cappuccino, as they say in Italy. We get ready and leave for the start of the first active day. Starting from the Tre Croci pass, we move along an alpine trail that will accompany us with the views of the Cristallo, Popena, Cadini di Mizurina and Tre Cime di Lavaredo mountain ranges. Our route has a variety, from relatively gentle sections to stairs, there will be sections equipped with cables along flat ledges for greater safety. Despite the difficulties, the trail offers great views and an unforgettable hiking experience. And as soon as you reach Lake Sorapis, which is one of the most beautiful lakes in the Italian Dolomites, you will not regret the effort. It is incredibly picturesque, surrounded by amazing mountain peaks, and the water has such a special opal-turquoise color that it looks too beautiful to be real. Near the lake there is Rifugio Vandelli, where we will enjoy Italian delicacies while looking at the Dolomites. We deserve it! We take the bus back to the campsite, where we prepare a traditionally delicious dinner.

From the campsite, we take a local shuttle to the start of our adventure. Incredible views of the Dolomites will accompany us all the way.
There are many easy trails in the Tre Cime area that are suitable for children of all ages to enjoy family hiking without effort.
So our journey begins at an altitude of 2340 meters. We move along a wide and mostly flat path that connects the two Rifugios. We walk slowly and admire the incredible scenery, taking lots of photos. From the Rifugio Lavaredo, the trail gradually climbs up and offers another view of the valley in front of Tre Cime and the Rifugio Locatelli in the distance. The relatively flat trail with a small descent almost goes to the third rifugio for today. In the rifugio, as we are used to, we stop for a cappuccino with strudel. This is a nice place and offers the best view of Tre Cime. They are part of an area of natural beauty recognized by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage Site and are one of the most famous places for hiking.
During the day, we will walk 10 km; elevation: 225 м
Today we will have a fairly easy hike with a gradual gain in altitude that will allow you to fully enjoy the sights of the area: a panorama that stretches from the Ampezzo Valley to the Marmolada, Pelmo and Civetta mountains; the 5 Torri open-air museum and the oldest shelter in the Dolomites, Rifugio Nuvolau; flowery meadows and, if you are lucky, you will see bullfinches and marmots, as well as cute eiders. If you wish, you can take a comfortable 4-seater chairlift down.
During the day, we will walk 8 km; altitude: 336m
In the morning, we move to Lake Brianza. On the way to the lake, we will have the opportunity to see the alpine town of Dobbiaco.
Lago di Braies is one of the most beautiful lakes in Italy, a mountain lake fascinates with its turquoise green color and the majestic Seekofel massif (2810 m) that surrounds it. We will walk around the lake along an easy hiking trail that circles the lake, with several beautiful viewpoints and even small beaches. Those who wish can take a boat ride. We will return to our town of Cortina d'Ampezzo, where we will still have time to walk around its surroundings.

Today is the end of our adventure in the Dolomites. Wake up, have breakfast and pack your things. When planning your departure, we advise you to set aside time to visit Venice and take a walk in this beautiful city!

To participate in a tour in the Dolomites, you must have a valid Schengen or biometric passport.
To participate in the hike, you must not have any diseases from this list.
The campsite is located 4 km from the center of Cortina d'Ampezzo. During the hike, we live in tents that we brought with us. The campsite has hot showers (24/7), toilets, washing machines, and a kitchenette (where we wash dishes). There are also outlets to recharge your gadgets.
For children, there is a playground, a trampoline, and tennis tables.
Children aged about 10 years old are the most common on the route. Most of them have experience of hiking or spending nights in tents, often traveling with their parents.

Parents play an important role in the comfortable perception of a hike by children. How ready are you for day hikes and the mandatory ascent schedule every morning? Talk about it with the consultants. Ask and prepare as responsibly as possible for the trip if your child, and you have just started hiking.

In most groups and as a standard (exceptions are made if we are late for a shared transfer and book a private one), the mandatory cost for the entire program is €85/person. This amount is basic, but may vary depending on circumstances and events beyond the team leader's control. Children's discounts do not apply to the transfer and are paid in the same way as an adult ticket.
Other expenses that you may incur during the trek are visits to cafes at your own discretion. It can be in the evening after the trekking, or vice versa - some cafes will be open during the day, and you will want to buy a cup of delicious coffee. Approximately €50 is spent on such wishes
As always, we recommend buying tickets in advance. You should buy them only after we confirm your participation in the trek to (from) Venice airport.

You're probably wondering what we're going to eat on the trip. Let us tell you right away that you should not worry. Many parents say that they eat better on a hike than at home. The menu is based on simple and high-quality products. Do not count on gourmet delicacies (although they may be present).

To participate in the program, you need insurance that will cover active sports at altitudes up to 2500 meters in Italy. Please do not neglect this point. It has saved some participants thousands of euros.
Minimum group for this program: 5 participants. We have calculated the costs for a smaller number, but increased them slightly. So as not to be in the red ourselves.

The total amount of mandatory expenses not included in the price is approximately €140, of which €85 is for transportation during the program, and €50 is for tickets Venice – Cortina d'Ampezzo – Venice. In addition to the mandatory expenses, we recommend bringing an extra ~€50 for food or drinks at cafés that may be encountered in the mountains.
