Personal first aid kit for a hike in the mountains

Each participant of the campaign should have a small personal first aid kit and know how to use the preparations included in it. The main component of such a first-aid kit is medicines for your diseases. No one knows better than you and your doctor how to deal with them. Be sure to tell your coordinator and guide about your illnesses and what medications you are taking.

 

 

 

If you have any doubts about your health before you go, be sure to consult a doctor.

Personal first aid kit list for the hiking to the mountains

  1. Medications for “your” illnesses in the right amounts. Consult your doctor before you go.
  2. Hygienic lipstick, 1 piece. Yes, it’s mandatory for guys, too.
  3. Sterile bandage, 1 pc 5×10 cm or 7×14 cm.
  4. Sterile cotton, 25 grams or 15 cotton pads.
  5. Iodine or green in a pencil 1 pc (optional)
  6. Elastic bandage for the number of sick joints (minimum 1) or bandages/knee pads.
  7. Lung pain reliever, 1 plate.
  8. Bactericidal patch, 10 strips. Additionally, you can take a band-aid in a roll.
  9. Peroxide 25 ml, in a plastic bottle.
  10. 10 suction throat lozenges and 5 sachets of fervex/coldrex type powder

Take Diamax (Diacarb) and/or Hypoxen for climbing and trekking at altitudes over 5000 m. For long hikes take vitamin complexes additionally, you can start taking them a week or two before the start.
