A three-day hike to Khomyak and Sinyak mountains is a unique opportunity to get acquainted with one of the Gorgan mountain ranges, its wildlife and bizarre stone placers in just a couple of days. But at the same time - to be in a real hiking tour with nights in tents and funny evenings by the fire with a mug of herbal tea.

This hike to Hiking to Khomyak and Sinyak is especially for those who are very busy, who are not allowed to leave work for a long time, or for the first time in the hiking trail and not confident in their abilities. All three days of full hike, travel to the start and back take only an hour and a half, not three or four, as in other hikes in the Carpathians. Although the route is short, do not think that it will be boring, uninteresting, or too easy.
We meet in Ivano-Frankovsk. There we take the bus and go to the most famous Ukrainian ski resort in Ukraine - Bukovel, which is famous for its landscapes and gathers tourists not only for the snowy winter, but also for the hot summer. Just before we reach the resort, we come out at the bend in the road. Along the beautiful stony path we start our ascent to Chomyakov valley. The trail goes through the forest serpentine, gently gaining height. Coming out of the forest, we will see a huge clearing between the mountains Khomyak and Sinyak.
Closer to the mountain Khomyak near the forest we will set up camp and have lunch (in the case of a large number of people we will go to the neighboring meadow Baranyu). In the afternoon we will go up to the top of Khomyak. We will climb the peak by the rocky and steep path among bushes of mountain pine and juniper.
Homyak Mountain is notable for the fact that on its top instead of the triangular is the sculpture of the Virgin Mary is about three meters high. And from it you can see a magnificent view of all 360! In the distance on the horizon you can see the giants of Ukrainian Carpathians - Hoverla and Petros. Coming down, we cook dinner and enjoy the starry sky.
Don't be lazy and get up early today to meet the sunrise at the top. An unforgettable sight! After sunrise we go down to the camp, have breakfast, pack up the camp and head in the direction of Mount Sinyak. The trail is characteristic of Gorgan - placers of rocks everywhere, overgrown with green mosses and lichens.
Today we have lunch on the top of 1665 m with beautiful panoramas around. Then we will go to the Minor Gorgan (1592 m). The descent from the mountain is very steep, you need to be careful and attentive. So, please listen to your instructor. We will stay for the night on the Blagzhiv glade, having prepared a comfortable clearing. After three summits in two days, satisfied with ourselves, we go to bed.
Well, that's it, the plan is maxed out. We can go home with a clear conscience and satisfied soul. We go down to the valley of the river Vilshanets, and along the shore we go to Bukovel. There you can walk along the green tracks, which you used to see in the snow, go up in a chairlift, or rent a bike and ride the mountain slopes of the resort. After a long hike, we go back to Ivano-Frankivsk. We hope to see you more than once!

Carpathians, in general, very rainy region, and our route is no exception. So we must be ready for anything - rain gear is a must! Also on the ridges and at the tops there can be strong winds. Depending on the weather during the day can be both very hot and cool. Most of the camps are high-altitude, and even summer evenings and nights can be cold - don't forget to take a hat and gloves!

The complexity of this route we estimated as average, because 3 days with backpacks and overnight stay in tents, short distance (up to 8 km) with average height difference, on the second day difficult movement on stones of different sizes.
Special feature: popular route, passing through the central ridge of the Eastern Gorgans.
As always, we recommend that you buy tickets in advance, although there are often vacant seats on trains a week before the start of the hike. You should buy your ticket so that you'll be at the train station in Ivano-Frankovsk by 10 a.m. on the day of the start of the hike. A slight delay is acceptable. Back you buy a ticket for the evening, best of all for 20-22 hours, then you'll have time to walk around Frankovsk and have a drink in one of its pubs. Buy tickets is worth it only after our confirmation of your participation in the hike. You can do this at the ticket offices at the railway station or online on the website "Ukrzaliznytsia".
The meeting place of the group is the waiting room of the Ivano-Frankovsk railway station. The time is determined by the last arriving participant, usually it's 10 am. About 5-7 days before the hike we will send you by e-mail the exact time of the meeting and the contacts of the team leader. Don't forget to check your mail!
In the Carpathians weather is very changeable, so you should prepare for its surprises in advance. The first thing you should remember is that it rains a lot here, so you should bring a raincoat and a rain cover for your backpack. Second - in the evenings, especially at high-altitude parking lots, it may be cool. Take with you a hat, gloves and jacket.
Surely you are wondering what we will eat on a hike? Let's just say that you don't have to worry. Many participants say they eat better on the hike than they do at home. The basis of the menu is a simple meal of cereals and soups. You should not count on gourmet delicacies (although they can be).
If you do not eat any products, be sure to inform the manager so that the guide can slightly adjust the menu for you. We also recommend taking some yummies with you - nuts or sweets. Appetite on a hike is much better than at home.
Please note that the menu shown is indicative only. Guides usually have their signature dishes that they love to pamper participants with. And if you have dishes that you would like to receive on a hike, be sure to tell the manager about it, as the guide may have completely different preferences.

When you arrive in Ivano-Frankivsk, go to "10". The food here is extremely tasty, the portions are huge, and the prices are small. If the 10 is busy, you can eat at another pub, too. Sitting down together for a delicious meal and a glass of beer is a great ending to a great outing. With that in mind, it's best to buy your tickets back for the evening - about 20-22 hours.
One of the charms of a hike in the Carpathians is the abundance of berries and mushrooms. But be careful! Before you eat something of berries - be sure to clarify with the team leader whether it is edible. The most tasty and popular berry is undoubtedly blueberries and raspberries, except them you can also eat cowberries, blueberries and blackberries.
There are a lot of mushrooms in the Carpathians, and they can often enrich your diet. We recommend to take only white mushrooms and cook them well. On the possibility of diluting the ration of mushrooms ask the instructor. If you have a weak stomach - you should not eat mushrooms.
The program includes mandatory additional costs for transfers. Their amount you can check with the consultant, as it depends on the cost of fuel and is constantly changing.
There are also optional expenses. Participants buy dried porcini mushrooms, souvenirs, and like to have dinner in a restaurant (for example, in the legendary "Ten"). Minimum recommend taking from 300 UAH. And the maximum is up to you.
