Hello! My name is Oksana, and I’m a consultant at the KULUAR travel club.
I didn’t start going to the mountains as a child, but only as an adult—in 2018. But perhaps that is precisely why it has become such a conscious and genuine passion for me. Since then, hiking, travelling and nature have become an important part of my life.
I’ve been to Georgia, to Svaneti, and I have quite a bit of experience hiking in the Carpathians, mostly camping. I love that particular way of travelling, where there’s a genuine connection with nature, simplicity, silence, the kind of tiredness that brings joy, and the feeling that you’re truly living in the moment.
As well as hiking, I’ve also been on a few river trips. My husband and I try to get away whenever we can—to go for a walk, see new places, spend time in nature, and get away from the hustle and bustle. I really love Bakota, the Dniester, and the beautiful spots in the Khmelnytskyi region.
I work out and go for runs, and it really helps me on my hikes. What’s more, I have the best running partner – my beloved husky, Uzala. With her, every run is a bit more fun, a bit livelier, and certainly never boring.
I also love drawing — I really enjoy the process itself, when you can fully immerse yourself in creativity. I’m also interested in modern technology, particularly artificial intelligence, and anything that enables me to learn, grow and see familiar things in a broader light.
For me, travelling isn’t just about the route or taking beautiful photos. It’s about a state of mind, about recharging your batteries, about freedom, and about experiences that stay with you for a long time afterwards.
