Anna is manager for Carpathian Mountains. I'm the first person the participants talk to when they want to go hiking in Carpathian Mountains and sign up for Freeride. I accept applications and questionnaires, advise on equipment, clothing and other details and conditions of hiking in Carpathian region.
I started hiking in the mountains when I was still in my mother's tummy. My parents are hikers, climbers, rock climbers, and skiers. From birth they took me everywhere, including Karelia and Crimea. Posters of high snow-covered mountains hung at home – my love for mountains was inevitable.
We had known Taras since childhood. When I saw the post on Instagram about the vacancy of manager for Carpathians, I realized that it was time to leave my comfort zone, and finally to change my job.
I love the snow and snowboarding, speed and music. Sometimes I switch to alpine skiing or cross-country skiing fields. I play the piano and a little guitar. When the snow melts, I "have to" ride my bike. I love mountains, walking in mountains, being in mountains, looking at mountains. They fill with strength and freedom, ease and tranquility.
When counseling and preparing participants for hiking and freeride I try to tell them not only about the beauty and scenery, but also to pay attention to the complexity of the weather conditions or the route, so that expectations coincide with reality. Some participants need prompting to go to a simpler program and get more experience, others, on the contrary, need support to make up their minds and remove doubts. After all, it is important not only to come to the program satisfied, but also to come back happy.
