Lhotse (8,516m) or 'South Peak' is the fourth highest eight-thousander on the planet, located on the border of Nepal and Tibet. The peak is only three kilometres from Everest and is connected to it by the South Saddle Pass. The proximity of its famous neighbour explains the relatively low popularity of Lhotse among climbers.
The summit was first climbed in 1956 by a Swiss expedition of Ernst Reiss and Fritz Luchsinger.
There are 3 peaks in the massif: Lhotse Main (8516m), Middle (8414m) and Lhotse Shar (8383m). You can climb the first of these with Kuluar!
The route passes through the West Face of the summit and matches with the Everest route up to 7162m (Camp 3).
The trekking part of the expedition follows one of the world's most famous trekking routes to Everest Base Camp. From there participants will ascend through the Khumbu Icefall to Camp 1. The route then proceeds through the side moraine to the western ridge and Camp 2. From there it is necessary to ascend through the glacier to Camp 3. Here the Everest and Lhotse routes separate. Then we will ascend to Camp 4, and from there directly to the summit of Lhotse Main.

Only the most experienced team leaders in the Kuluar Club participate in the climbs of the eight-thousanders.

You must not have any diseases from this list in order to participate in the trek.
Lhotse is the fourth highest peak on the planet. After it, you can plan an expedition to any other eight-thousandth peak or technically challenging lower summits.
Tickets must be purchased in advance, as soon as we confirm your participation in the trek. There are lot companies flying to Kathmandu: AirArabia, Fly Dubai, Turkish Airlines, Qatar Airways. Their websites are the best places to buy tickets. Please note that luggage is not included in the price and you have to book extra 20 kg at the time of purchase. On boarding you will need the credit card used to pay for the tickets - don't forget it! Round-trip tickets cost between $500 and $700.

Ascent of Lhotse is a program for those with 7000m summit experience. This difficult peak, the route to the third high camp is exactly the same as the route to Everest. The summits of Manaslu and Cho Oyu require a higher level of physical and moral toughness, but the climbing of Lhotse requires better preparation technically. You should be ready to walk up to 20 hours per day (during the ascent), to stay in hard camping conditions for almost two months and to move confidently on rails of different complexity.
You need to understand where you are going and, apart from constant physical cardio and strength training without self-pity and laziness, it is important to tighten up the technical part. Draw up a training program with your trainer or contact us – we can help with advice and contacts for proper preparation for the mountain.

The price is valid for a group of three or more participants. If less, it probably needed to be recalculated.
Important! When using the service of the base camp, you work independently in the upper camps and at the top, without the help of the organizers.
The base camp service can only be used by mountaineers with extensive experience. For ordinary people, we recommend only a full service, otherwise your chances of reaching the top will be minimal.
To book a place in the group, you need to pay a deposit of $5,000.
Remit the rest no later than one month before the start.
