My name is Dmytro Gorbatov. I am manager of Kuluar climbing club.
I cannot imagine my life without mountains and travel. Back in 2008 I went to the mountains for the first time, and since then I have fallen in love with them. It all started with the fact that I was invited to hike by my friend, who had never been in the mountains, and classmate who lived in Ivano-Frankivsk, decided to take us to Hoverla. And those were some of the best days of my life, which opened a new chapter of adventure. When I came home from the mountains, I was depressed for two days. It was because I was drawn back to the mountains, where the air, the scenery and the views are completely different. In the mountains there is no commonness, everything plays with its own colors.
It could not last and after three years, I decided to try and switch to a new stronger drug called mountaineering.
Everything became more mature here, the routes were more difficult, the mountains were higher, the dangers were higher... But the scenery here was simply beautiful, with a hotel with a thousand stars overhead. Your values become completely different, and people who surround you, make you stronger.
Together with my beloved we have hitchhiked through more than 30 countries, at altitudes from 430 meters below sea level to 6,962 meters. In each country we found something new, interesting, delightful, and everywhere different.
Now I work as a coordinating manager for climbs. I am with you from the first call until you return home from the ascent. Trying to make sure that you have only positive impressions. Prior to that I worked as a guide and sales assistant in a tourist outfit store. And based on my experience and practice I can not only advise you on the ascent you are going to, but also pick out your outfit, and advise which equipment to take on one or the other route.
In my free time I like to take part in multibike races, especially daily and higher. When the mileage passes the eighth, ninth decade, your legs do not go, hallucinations occur, and you do not know what resource of your strength is not exhausted yet.

In the summer of 2021 I decided to try myself in the big mountains, and my first mountaineering experience was with the company \Couloir\. I'm very glad I chose them, because their first class organization, competent managers and professional guides set the standard for me! My decision to go on expedition with Couloir was 100% right and from now on I will plan my next expedition with them only.
I was especially lucky with my guide. Natalia Mostovaya was my guide, a person with a great bright soul, great sensitivity and an unreal sense of humor. She is a person with glowing eyes, who loves her job and gives her all she has. The person who rallied our team, charged with confidence and positive throughout the campaign, made us believe in their strength and at the same time did not allow us to relax. Thanks to the training program arranged by Natalya I had a quick and successful acclimatization, and my strength recovered in time. Natalya has inspired me and set an example with her endurance, stamina, optimism and professional approach. It wasn't always easy, but even at the most difficult moments Natalia skillfully encouraged me and found the right words.
I think that half of success depends directly on the guide. And Natalia is a big credit to my success.
Thank you for Kazbek, Natalia! Thank you for Kazbek, Kuluar! ♥
My first summit, the first summit, Mount Kazbek.
I went up in a group with Natalya Mostova. She was a professional in her field, who patiently showed me the route, explained all the nuances, never let me get relaxed, but at the same time always gave me only positive emotions and remained on the positive side.)
The impressions are unbelievable, I am very grateful to the company for the cool organization, new friends, safety and emotions!
The idea of passing some iconic vertical obstacle has intrigued me for several years. Against the backdrop of the Carpathian Mountains, albeit domestic, but quite varied, the challenge of five thousand seemed harsh enough.
