The russians killed Volodya on 5 January 2026 in the Zaporizhzhia area.
We want to remember him as everyone knew him – kind, energetic, smiling and always ready to help.
Vova discovered the world of mountains and dreamed of reaching 8,000 metres — his goal was to climb Manaslu.
He knew how to live this life. Even near the front line, he continued to run and, when possible, go trail running or hiking in the mountains.
Motto: What can you do? Live. And enjoy it, even if most people don't get it!
In 2022, he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a combat medic.
Vova was a man of action, and even when the brigade was in retreat, he looked for ways to get closer to the front line and save the lives of his comrades. Together with his team, he saved dozens of soldiers.

It so happened that I was born and grew up in the town of Yaremche, Ivano-Frankivsk region. In this city close to the mountains, there were many opportunities to develop my love of mountains and mountain climbing. My first hike was with my parents, when I was only 5 years old. The next, conscious hike was when I was 10 years old, it was a hike of the first category in hiking. Since then there was a hobby, and now the robot, which brings only pleasure.
A world-famous mountaineer once said: "He who ascends the mountains, comes down from there a completely different person. It is not the mountains that change because we have climbed them, but we ourselves become different. So, after each hike, really, something changes inside a person, it is impossible to explain how it happens and what changes, but after the mountains you feel different. That's what I have seen from my own experience. And what before the mountains was colossally important, after the mountains is a rethinking and can already seem like nothing.
Going with me to the hike, you'll get out of your comfort zone, but you'll find something else, something that will give you strength and energy for your plans and desires. I can't guarantee great weather, but I guarantee safety, a delicious dinner, hot tea, and great company.
