This school is a great option to gain basic knowledge of rock climbing technique in a short time. This knowledge and these skills are directly related to the actions of mountaineering groups on various rock routes (climbing routes, multi-pitches, alpine rock routes). How to behave competently and safely on the terrain, at stations, how to organize a safe ascent and descent, as well as a lot of other useful and necessary information.
The venue is the cliffs in the Korostyshiv area (Zhytomyr region). It's a picturesque place with simple logistics and beautiful granite cliffs. Classes are held in a format of up to 5 participants per 1 instructor, group – 2 instructors and 10 participants.
The program will be useful both for beginners who want to gain initial-level knowledge for rock climbing, and for more experienced people who want to improve and systematize their knowledge, gain new experience, and the ability to independently carry out simple climbs and/or independently organize safety on a climbing trip.
Important! The program has open dates and is designed for weekends. Leave requests with your convenient date options in May-June so that consultants can form groups and offer a suitable option. The school can be run either on the basic package or "All inclusive" (accommodation, meals, transfer, etc. – more details in the "What's included" section). It is also possible to organize the program on any dates convenient for you and/or specifically for your group of friends.

The program has been refined several times, we tried to make it as safe, comfortable and informative as possible. Over the course of 2 days, we will practice movement on rocks of varying difficulty, and the team leaders will show several "life hacks" for moving on rocks.

Experienced team leaders will explain, show, and clarify everything. At the end of the program, there will be a test to check and reinforce the knowledge, skills, and abilities gained – all in a positive atmosphere.
We meet in Kyiv at the designated place (those traveling independently meet us already in Korostyshiv near the rocks). We head to the training location. After a short rest, we begin the training. Today we cover the basic concepts of the gear we use, how everything is organized on the belay system, rules of application, etc. Lunch break during the day. Afterward – rules and algorithms for moving up and down as a rope team. In the evening, we go over theoretical scenarios for tomorrow and discuss them.
The first half of the day is spent reinforcing yesterday's material. Situational tasks on the terrain. Movement up and down, etc. Lunch break during the day. Afterward – an introductory lecture on natural protection (placements, the concept of the belay chain, stations). How different placements work, what a station is, principles of building a safe station. In the evening, a short test on the material covered, certificate presentation. Meeting the transfer and departure to Kyiv.

Depending on weather conditions, the group's condition and general wishes, the team leader has the right to make changes to the program. Following the team leader's instructions is mandatory and not subject to discussion.
Citizens of Belarus only need a passport to visit Ukraine. (During the restrictions related to the coronavirus pandemic, the entry of foreign citizens into Ukraine may be limited).

During the school, participants stay in a tent camp directly in the rock area. Tents for participants under the "All inclusive" package are provided. Personal bivouac gear (sleeping bag, sleeping mat) must be brought with you. Drinking water is available. There is a field toilet.
The group meeting point is Zhytomyrska metro station (for those who need a transfer from Kyiv), or directly at the venue. About 5–7 days before the program, we will send you the exact meeting time and the team leader's contacts by email. Don't forget to check your email.
During the day, a snack and tea/coffee; in the evening and morning, hot meals and tea/coffee (for the "All inclusive" package); drinking water for all participants. Don't forget to mention in the questionnaire if you don't eat certain foods.
Good weather conditions are one of the most important factors for a successful activity. Depending on the weather, the program may change. The health and safety of the group come first. In any case, dress according to the weather and check the forecast before departure. In case of rain, the activities will still take place, so dress accordingly.
The total amount of mandatory additional expenses not included in the price will be 0 UAH for the "All inclusive" package. For the "Basic" package – transfer from 200 UAH round trip (by public transport), meals according to your appetite.
