In the cold season in the Carpathian Mountains works climbing school club "Kuluar". In it the leaders of our team conduct training programs that will help you thoroughly prepare for climbing in the big mountains and difficult routes.
These programs are designed for those who want to improve their skills on the snow in the mountains. During 3 days we will learn how to move safely on snow slopes, how to move in bundles, how to organize safety measures, how to move on rails, how to make snow shelters, etc.
Our climbing school is first of all useful for those who want to improve their skills of moving across the terrain and are planning to climb peaks that require technical training.
Important! Groups are forming very fast! If you want to spend time in the Carpathians with benefit, but the free dates do not suit you - we invite you to take part in our climbing to Hoverla and Petros.
We do not cancel or reschedule groups. If the manager has given permission to buy a ticket, you can buy it with confidence. There will be no cancellation through our fault.

The team leader will meet you at the train station of Ivano-Frankivsk, and together with him you will travel to the mountains by a pre-booked comfortable shuttle.
The program was revised several times, we tried to make it as safe, comfortable and educational as possible. During 3 days we will learn how to move safely on snow slopes (with and without crampons), to hike in bundles, to organize safety, to move on rails, etc.

We meet at the train station and go to the venue in the village of Dzembronya. Tickets are better to take the train that arrives earlier. We settle in a cozy house and, without wasting time, go to class. Today we will begin to practice the basic techniques of snow slopes: self holding on the slope with an ice axe, walking on a steep slope with or without crampons. In the evening, dinner, well-deserved rest, and evening gatherings by the fireplace.
Skills of the day:
We get up, have breakfast, get ready and immediately go out on the slopes of the Smotrich mountain. We will learn how to move in bundles with different number of participants, to move up and down on the fixed railings. Even those who tried to walk in bundles and on the rails before, learn much new and interesting. In the evening there will be sitting by the fireplace where it will be possible to remember everything, to ask questions and to fix knowledge. If you want it will be possible to order hot vats.
Skills of the day:
On the nearest slope you will work on the railing. Sliding, climbing on the jumar, and descending on the cup. Cross-overs with oncoming traffic. These are the skills that participants need first of all. After lunch we get in the custom-made bus and go to Ivano-Frankovsk. We recommend tickets for the later flights (after 9 pm).

The main difference between winter programs and summer hikes in the Carpathians is more severe weather. Therefore, you should pay special attention to the choice of quality equipment. Physically, the activities are not difficult, but they will last all day in the mountains in the snow. To prepare, we recommend jogging or cross-country skiing (of course, if there is enough snow).
Depending on the weather conditions, condition and general wishes of the group, the Team Leader has the right to make changes to the program. Compliance with the instructor's instructions is mandatory and not negotiable.
To participate in the hike you must be free of diseases that are not compatible with active tourism: the list here.
As always, we recommend that you buy tickets in advance, although there are often vacant seats on trains a week before the start of the hike. The ticket "there" should be bought so as to be at the railway station of Ivano-Frankivsk by 8 a.m. on the day of the start of the hike. A slight delay is acceptable. Back you buy a ticket for the evening, best of all for 20-22 hours. Buy tickets is worth it only after our confirmation of your participation in the hike, you can do it at the ticket offices of the railway station or online on the website Ukrzaliznytsi.
The meeting place of the group is the waiting room of the Ivano-Frankovsk railway station. The time is determined by the last arriving participant, usually it's 10 am. About 5-7 days before the hike we will send you an email with the exact time of the meeting and contacts of the team leader. Don't forget to check your mail.
During the training at the school of mountaineering participants live in a cottage in the village of Dzembronya. Rooms for 2 people, with showers and toilets. The house is wooden and new. There is a fireplace. In the courtyard there is a tub (on request, paid separately).

Breakfast and dinner are meals prepared for us by our hosts. For lunch we will take snacks, hot tea, sweets.
Good weather conditions are one of the most important factors in a successful class. Depending on the weather conditions, the program may change. What matters most is the health and safety of the group.
Only mobile network "Kyivstar" operates at the place of residence, there is free WiFi :)
The total amount of obligatory additional expenses not included in the price will be 0 UAH.
There are also optional expenses. The participants buy dried porcini mushrooms, souvenirs, and like to dine in a restaurant (for example, in the legendary "Ten"). Minimum recommend to take from 300 UAH. And the maximum is up to you.
