This program is more than just climbing. In the mountaineering school, you:
Gain basic knowledge about the technique of traveling in the mountains;
Learn how to work with equipment (crampons, ice axe, safety systems);
You will learn how to act in non-standard conditions in the highlands;
The Grand Paradiso peak (4061 m) will be the final stage of the training.
After completing the course, you will be able to confidently move on to more difficult challenges, such as climbing Mont Blanc or Matterhorn.

We meet in Chamonix (France), a legendary mountaineering center in the heart of the Alps. You should get here in the morning to join the group without haste. If possible, we recommend arriving the day before to have a rest after the journey. In Chamonix, you can buy or rent the necessary climbing equipment or boots.
Around mid-day, we head south, cross the border with Italy and head to the campsite in the Grand Paradiso Park. This place is popular among outdoor enthusiasts: trekkers, climbers and, of course, those who plan to climb the main peak of the national park. In the evening we meet the group, discuss the program and get ready for the adventure.
The result of the day: you will have a comfortable ride, feel the atmosphere of mountaineering and be ready for an active program.
After breakfast, we check our equipment and drive to a rocky area a few kilometers from the campsite. Here we will train on natural terrain:
This practical training will help you gain confidence in using the equipment and master key skills.
We will have lunch in the open air with a view of the alpine meadows and steep peaks surrounding the valley. After the training, we return to the campsite, where we will have time to rest and prepare for the next day.
The result of the day: you will master the basic techniques of working with equipment.
The morning begins with gathering equipment and starting the route to the refuge at an altitude of 2710 meters, where we will spend the night. The picturesque ascent track runs through the forest, alpine meadows and mountain panoramas.
After checking into the shelter, we head out to the glacier for a lesson. You will learn
We return to the refugio, have dinner and discuss the details of tomorrow's climb.
The result of the day: you will master the basic techniques of working on the glacier and be ready to reach the summit.

The early access to the summit begins with rocky slopes leading to the glacier. The ascent passes through:
The final section is a steep rocky ridge, where you will need to be belayed with a rope. A short but technically interesting ascent leads to the summit.
At the top of the Grand Paradiso (4063 m), you will enjoy incredible views from the top. This is a moment everyone will remember!
After enjoying the views, we descend along the same route: first to the shelter, where you can have a little rest, and then to the campsite in the valley.
The result of the day: you will climb to the four-thousandth peak, test your strength and get inspired for new peaks.

After active days in the mountains, we return to Chamonix or Courmayeur. We recommend buying tickets for the afternoon.
The team leader has the right to make changes to the route depending on the weather conditions, condition and general wishes of the group.
Ukrainian citizens who have a biometric passport do not need a visa to visit France. At the border, you may be asked to provide an insurance policy.

Climbing and school opens up many peaks for you. We recommend:
All special equipment can be rented in Chamonix and you don't have to take it from home. The cost of renting the entire set (boots, crampons, ice axe, system, helmet) is about 150 euros.
To climb the Gran Paradiso, you need to be in good physical shape. Start running 3 months before the start of the tour and train at least 3 times a week. Try to run for half an hour to an hour at a pace that is convenient for you.
In the summer, the temperature in the mountains can rise to +15 and above during the day, but with increasing altitude it becomes significantly colder. Nighttime temperatures at altitude can drop to -20; at the very top, during the ascent, the temperature usually stays around -5...-10 degrees. There is snow on Gran Paradiso all year round.
Minimum group for this program: 4 participants. We have calculated the cost for a smaller number of participants, but increased it slightly. So as not to be in the red ourselves.
This way, we can confirm the date earlier, and you will have the opportunity to buy tickets and plan your ascent.
Total amount of mandatory expenses that are not included in the price: approximately €250 for meals.
