For three days we will plunge into a real fairy tale of winter Gorgan, with snow-covered fir trees and drifts of snow. We will spend the night in the heart of the mountains - a small tourist shelter Plisce without electricity and civilization, but with a stove, which we will heat with wood. The shelter is publicly accessible and may be occupied, but in this case we take tents with us. The stories and the crackling of the fire - this is a real adventure and romance of hiking. After all that's what you have come here for? Of course not only, because in the afternoon we will ascend to the summits of Parenka and Grofa.
We do not cancel or reschedule groups. If the consultant has given permission to buy a ticket, you can buy it with confidence. There will be no cancellation through our fault.

The group will meet at 35 Mykhailo Mulyk Street, near the Gorgany store. This is near the train station, and we will send all the detailed instructions in a pre-hike email and a group chat closer to the date of the hike.

Meeting the group in Ivano-Frankivsk and about 2.5 hours transfer to Osmoloda. Upon arrival, we will make a snack, but we need to hurry, because it gets dark early, and we still need to get to the place of our overnight stay - tourist shelter Plisce.
Shelter is not booked, but open to all, so there is a chance that besides us will be other adventurers. And we might need tents, too.
Distance: 8-9.5 km, depending on the condition of the trails, elevation gain: 700 - 750м.
We get up in the morning, have an aromatic breakfast and go for a walk-climbing. The main things we leave at the place of overnight stay, we take only necessary and valuable things with us: a thermos of tea, a snack, spare clothes, documents, money, technique.
Depending on the pace of the group and the amount of snow we can either go down to the shelter for lunch or have a snack on the route. From both peaks there are beautiful views of the Gorganes, and the winter mountains are a real fairy tale!
Kilometrage: 7.5 km, altitude 630 m, drop 630 m
If the avalanche situation allows, we will go down another path, on the slopes of Mt. New landscapes, bizarre Christmas trees under the snow - more impressions, enjoyment and reloading. First we come to the shelter near the Kone-Grofetsky, here we rest and continue descending to Kotelets. After that, go out on the familiar road and have lunch at the so-called "Triangle". Here you will find the transfer that will return us, inspired and full of impressions, to the civilization!

Depending on the weather conditions and general wishes of the group, the teamleader has the right to make changes in the route.
Carpathians are very rainy region, so we must be prepared for anything - take the raincoat! Also on the ridges there are often strong winds. Depending on the weather during the day can be hot and cold. Most of the camps are high-altitude, and even summer evenings and nights will be cold, so don't forget to take a hat and gloves!
In this route we defined the difficulty as above average. Sometimes deep snow, possible winter accommodation in tents or in a shelter (sometimes busy), elevation gain on the first day (9 km/700 m), the second day - easy radial exits, on the third day there is a steep descent of about 400 m.
Special features: identical to the summer program "Cedars Gorgan", best suited as a first winter hike with tents.
As always, we recommend that you buy tickets in advance, although there are often vacant seats on trains a week before the start of the hike. You should buy your ticket so that you'll be at the train station in Ivano-Frankovsk by 10 a.m. on the day of the start of the hike. A slight delay is acceptable. Back you buy a ticket for the evening, best of all for 20-22 hours, then you'll have time to walk around Frankovsk and have a drink in one of its pubs. Buy tickets is worth it only after our confirmation of your participation in the hike. You can do this at the ticket offices at the railway station or online on the website "Ukrzaliznytsia".
The meeting place of the group is 35 Mykhailo Mulyk St., near the Gorgany store.. The time is determined by the last arriving participant, usually it's 10 am. About 5-7 days before the hike we will send you by e-mail the exact time of the meeting and the contacts of the team leader. Don't forget to check your mail!
Classic winter weather with lots of snow and temperatures down to -10 degrees at night. Since the forest here is quite dense, the snow does not melt even when the past few days have been sunny.
Surely you are wondering what we will eat on a hike? Let's just say that you don't have to worry. Many participants say they eat better on the hike than they do at home. The basis of the menu is a simple meal of cereals and soups. You should not count on gourmet delicacies (although they can be).
If you do not eat any products, be sure to inform the consultant so that the team leader can slightly adjust the menu for you. We also recommend taking some yummies with you - nuts or sweets. Appetite on a hike is much better than at home.
Please note that the menu shown is indicative only. Team leaders usually have their signature dishes that they love to pamper participants with. And if you have dishes that you would like to receive on a hike, be sure to tell the consultant about it.

To participate in the hike you must be free of diseases that are not compatible with active tourism: the list here.
In some places there will be no connection, because we will be moving between the ridges. On the ridges a little catch, call once every 2 days home will be possible, adequate internet will not be available.
The weight of a backpack on this hike will be in the neighborhood of 15-17 kg when fully loaded with public gear. It could be considerably less if you have good individual gear.

The program has mandatory additional costs for transfers. Their amount you can check with the consultant, as it depends on the cost of fuel and is constantly changing.
There are also optional expenses. Participants buy dried porcini mushrooms, souvenirs, and like to have dinner in a restaurant (for example, in the legendary "10"). Minimum recommend to take from 1500 hryvnias. And the maximum is up to you.
