Shishapangma (8,027 m), also known as Gosainthan, is the only eight-thousander located entirely in China. It is located in Tibet, in the central Himalayas, five kilometers north of the Nepalese border.
Shashapangma is inferior in height to other eight-thousanders, ranking 14th in the list of the highest peaks in the world. There are 3 main peaks in the massif, 2 of which (Shishapangma Central and Main) exceed 8000 meters in height. In this program we will climb the Main summit, which goes to the credit of the program "Crown of the Earth" (14 x 8000).
The first ascent of Shishapangma was made on May 2, 1964. The success was achieved by a Chinese expedition led by Xu Jing. The team consisted of 60 participants. The first winter ascent of Mt. Gosainthan was made in January 2005 by the famous mountaineers Simone Moro and Piotr Morawski.
Climbing Shishapangma is usually done along the northwest or northeast ridges, as well as along the south-southwest route. Neither route is easy. In addition to the technical difficulty, participants may encounter sudden weather deterioration, strong winds, and a lot of snow.

The program includes reserve days in case of bad weather, greatly increasing the chances of a successful ascent of Shishapangma.
We do not cancel or reschedule groups. If manager has given permission to buy a ticket, you are free to do so. There will be no cancellation through our fault.
The manager has been involved in many climbs and will advise you knowledgeably.
Only the most experienced team leaders in the Kuluar Club participate in the climbs of the eight-thousanders.
To book a place in the group, you need to make an advance payment of $10,000 by bank transfer to the account of the Nepali organiser. The rest is either in dollars in Kathmandu or also by bank transfer. In case of cancellation of the ascent with less than one month's notice, the prepayment is non-refundable.
Visa to Nepal can be applied for directly at the border and costs $125 for a 90-day stay. Detailed instructions are available here. You only need a valid passport with an expiry date of more than 6 months from the date of return flight.
You must not have any of the diseases on this list in order to participate in the trek.
After Shishapangma you can climb other eight-thousanders, including Everest! Or technically challenging peaks of lower altitude.
You should buy the tickets beforehand, as soon as we confirm your participation in the expedition. There are lot companies flying to Kathmandu: AirArabia, Fly Dubai, Turkish Airlines, Qatar Airways. You can buy tickets on their website. On boarding you'll need the credit card used to pay for the tickets - don't forget it!

Climbing Shishapangma requires maximum physical and moral preparation of the participants. You should be ready to walk up to 20 hours per day (during the ascent) and stay in hiking conditions for quite a long time.
You need to forget about self-pity and really train hard. It is better to have a training program prescribed by our trainer or send us an enquiry and we will help with advice.

On Shishapangma temperatures can drop as low as -50 and winds blow at 320 km per hour. The equipment must be appropriate.
