In this hike we will climb the two highest peaks of the two Gorgan ranges, visit wild high mountain meadows, walk along little-known and little-traveled trails, and sometimes without trails at all... And as a reward, we will get incredible views, a sense of wild freedom and the warmth of a campfire.

We recruit no more than 12 participants per team leader, and if there are a large number of willing participants, we divide them into several independent groups. This is done for the comfort of the participants.

Suitable for participants with a good level of fitness, who already have experience in hiking with tents in the Carpathians. The beauty of the scenery depends on the weather, but the advantage is that we can do most of our hike in different weather conditions.
We meet in Ivano-Frankivsk, not far from the train station. After some organizational issues, receiving the rental equipment, we are on our way to the village of Myslivka, which is hidden among the mountain ranges of the Western Gorgan Mountains.
Immediately upon arrival at the starting point, we will be given a briefing, set up our backpacks and have lunch. After that, we start burning the calories we have gained, climbing in the direction of the Mshana meadow. The road leads along the stream and then turns into a path among the fabulous Carpathian forest, slender fir trees and emerald mosses.
For many people, the first day is the hardest: the loads are unusual, the backpacks are still full of food, and the team leader, enthusiastic about the nature of the Carpathians, gradually increases the pace. In this way, we unnoticed reach the Mshana meadow, a small meadow almost entirely covered with raspberries, the place of our first night. A campfire and a camping dinner, getting to know the participants and a deep sleep under the Carpathian sky...

We wake up, have breakfast, admire the nature and gradually pack up the camp. Today we are going to climb to the highest point of the ridge - the Yayko Ilemske peak, 1679 meters high. If the weather permits, we can stay here a little longer, taking in the beauty of the mountain expanses and catching the free wind in our lungs. After a short descent, we move on to the ancient, forgotten paradise, which in many places can not be seen. Very few tourists have been here, because this path is for true connoisseurs of the wild Carpathians. Picturesque landscapes, untouched high mountain meadows, fabulous untrodden forest... Overcoming kilometer after kilometer, we come to the Solotvynka meadow - a crossroads of paths and directions. Not far from here we will finish our hiking day and set up our camp among the cozy fir trees.

The morning sun is breaking through the spruce trees, the camp is waking up, and voices and laughter are increasingly heard. Tourists gradually emerge from the tents covered with crystal dew beads. The staff is preparing breakfast, the campfire is crackling, and the smells of woods, smoke, and coffee are mingling in the morning air. But we won't stay long, because the highest point of our hike is waiting for us - Mount Moloda with a height of 1724 meters. It's not an easy but interesting climb, and as a reward we will see the stormy waves of the mountain sea from the top, and the unlimited view and liberated consciousness will touch the horizon itself, which is so lacking in cramped cities
A picturesque descent among the stones, cobblestones and fir trees and we come to a tourist shelter near the mountain of Yayko Perehinske. We are greeted by Sheptytsky's Gate, an interesting historical and cultural monument recently restored by volunteers. After a rest, we follow the path among the centuries-old cedars to the valley of the Moloda River to our camp site.
Distance: 15 km; we will gain 500 m and lose 900 m of altitude.
The morning meeting is over and we are back on our way, which today will run along a convenient forest road along the Moloda River. On the one hand, we can be happy to end the physical exertion and certain uncomfortable conditions of the hike, and on the other hand, a subtle sadness is slowly creeping up... We are approaching the Kotelets stream, where the transfer is already waiting for us. The driver loads our backpacks and asks about the hike. Pleasant fatigue, the road to Frankivsk, a solemn and tasty end to the hike, which has long been a tradition.
Distance: about 4.5 km.
Depending on the weather conditions, condition and general wishes of the group, the team leader has the right to make changes to the route.
We must be ready for everything - take a raincoat for sure! Also on the ridges and the tops there can be strong winds. Even summer nights can be cold - don't forget to take a hat and gloves!

Medium difficulty, as it lasts 4 days, with backpacks and tents, medium distance hikes (11-15 km) with medium elevation changes (up to 600 m).

As always, we recommend that you buy tickets in advance, although there are often vacant seats on trains a week before the start of the hike. You should buy a ticket there so that to be at the railway station of Ivano-Frankovsk before 10 am on the day of the start of the hike. Back you should buy a ticket for the evening, best of all for 20-22 hours, then you'll have more time to walk around Frankovsk. Tickets must be purchased only after our confirmation of your participation in the hike, you can do it at the box offices at the train station or online on the website Ukrzaliznytsia.
Meeting place - Ivano-Frankivsk, 35 Mykhaila Mulik Street. This is next to the Gorgany store. The time is set according to the arrival time of the last participant, usually no later than 10 am. Approximately 7 days before the hike we'll send you e-mail with the exact time of the meeting, and the contact information of the team leader. Don't forget to check your mail!
We live in tents, all overnight stays in the mountains. If you don't know how to pitch a tent - don't worry, the team leader or other members of the group will gladly help you. If you take your own tent to the mountains, please, consult your adviser whether it will be reliable for the Carpathians.
There is mobile communication on most of the application. To recharge your gadgets, you need to take a paverbank. Internet is not available in the mountains.
Take raincoats and warm clothes. The weather in the Carpathians is very changeable, so you should prepare for its surprises in advance. The first thing you should remember is that it rains very often here, so you should definitely take a rain jacket and a rain cover for your backpack. Second - in the evenings, especially at high-altitude parking lots, it may be cool. Bring a hat, gloves, and jacket.
The program has mandatory additional costs for transfers. Their amount you can check with the consultant, as it depends on the cost of fuel and is constantly changing.
There are also optional expenses. Participants buy dried porcini mushrooms, souvenirs, and sometimes dinners in a restaurant (for example, in the legendary "Ten"). The minimum recommended having with itself from 300 UAH. And the maximum is up to you.
