The Teteriv is a picturesque river flowing through the Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions, characterised by narrow, meandering channels, small rapids, sandy beaches, pine forests and rocky banks. Our route begins in the town of Korostyshiv – this area is famous for its granite quarries, so on the way to the starting point of the rafting trip we will visit one of them. Halfway along the route, there is an interesting spot – the ‘Teterivsky Kysh’ eco-space, a place where ancient Slavic customs and the energy practices of the Cossack ‘kharakters’ were developed. There, we will be able to see sorcerers, totems and other fascinating features of the area.
Our journey comes to an end in the ancient town of Radomyshl in the Zhytomyr region.
A kayaking trip along this route is a relaxed affair, so you’re welcome to bring the kids along☺

Travelling with children? We’ll organise a short workshop on knot-tying for them, and adults are welcome to join in if they’d like.
We do not cancel or reschedule groups. If the manager has given the go-ahead to buy a ticket, you can go ahead and purchase it. We will not cancel the programme through any fault of our own.
Before setting off, we provide a briefing, supply high-quality equipment and accompany the group along the route.
Our trips don’t require any special preparation – all you need is the desire to take part; we’ll teach you everything else.
The group is supported along the route by a support vehicle, which ensures added comfort and helps organise the trip.

We meet up at Zhytomyrska metro station, get to know each other and set off on our adventure. Our first stop is the Korostyshiv granite quarry, where we take some photos before heading to the starting point of the kayak trip. We prepare our gear, listen to the briefing, have lunch and head out onto the water. We paddle at a leisurely pace, learn how to steer the kayaks and admire the route. We arrive at our overnight spot in the village of Horodske, where we set up camp.
On this day, we’ll visit the unique eco-space ‘Teterivsky Kish’, a place featuring wooden sculptures of Cossack warriors, ancient Slavic customs and energy practices. Alternatively, we could take a short walk to the Holy Spirit Monastery, which boasts rather unusual architecture. Next up – dinner and a cosy get-together by the campfire ☺
We’re setting off early today, as it’s going to be a busier day. We’ll have breakfast, have a coffee, and then set off on the second part of the kayaking trip.
We pass through picturesque, winding stretches of the river, where you can often spot birds, ducks and, occasionally, herons. If we’re lucky, we might even spot beavers and roe deer! We’ll have lunch, go for a swim and then continue our journey towards Radomyshl.
At the end of the rafting trip, you are welcome to visit the Radomysl Castle Museum if you wish. Tickets are not included in the price.
Depending on the weather conditions, the group’s condition and general preferences, the tour leader reserves the right to make changes to the itinerary.

The kayaking trip goes ahead in all weather conditions, except where conditions may pose a risk to participants’ health.
The weather along the route can change quickly, so it’s a good idea to pack for both sunny and rainy conditions. We’ll be spending the nights by the river, so you’ll need mosquito repellent. It can get cool and damp in the evenings and at night, so you’ll need warm clothes for sleeping and for when you’re at camp.
The price of the programme includes our standard three-person Red River kayaks. If you would like a two-person kayak, there is an additional charge of 150 UAH per day of the trip (or 75 UAH per person), and we will reserve a two- or three-person kayak for you, subject to availability.
The group arrives at the campsite at around 6 pm, where the support vehicle is already waiting and preparations are underway: the camp is being set up, tables are being laid out, the fire is blazing, and herbal tea is brewing. The team leader and camp manager will help you choose a spot and pitch your tent. Every evening, we plan to sit around the campfire and chat with our new friends.
In the morning, we pack up the tents, the assistant packs the group’s equipment, and we set off for the next overnight stop (applicable for trips of 3 days or more).
You’re probably wondering what we’ll be eating. Let’s get this straight: there’s no need to worry. Many participants say they eat better on the trip than they do at home.
If there are any foods you don’t eat, please be sure to let your consultant know so that the team leader can adjust the menu slightly to suit your needs. We also recommend bringing along a few snacks – such as nuts or sweets.
Please note that the menu shown is for guidance only. Event organisers usually have their own signature dishes, which they love to treat participants to.

For children aged 3 and under, participation in the trip is free (without a separate seat in the kayak). For children with a seat in the kayak, the discount is 20%. Find out more about discounts.
The main item of additional costs is the transfer from Kyiv to the start of the rafting trip and back from the finish to Kyiv. The amount depends on the number of participants in the group and factors beyond the club’s control, such as rising fuel prices. There are also optional expenses.
