You will climb all of the two-thousanders of Ukraine, including Hoverla (2061 m) - the highest and most popular peak of Ukraine, as well as high-altitude lakes Nesamovytoe and Brebeneskul.

The teamleader will meet you at the train station of Ivano-Frankovsk, and with him you will travel to the mountains in a previously ordered comfortable transport.

Meeting the group at the train station in Ivano-Frankivsk, the first meeting with the instructor, the distribution of products. We take our backpacks, and with smiles on our faces (an unforgettable adventure is ahead!) we get into the bus, which will take us to the start of the route. Let's start our six-day Carpathian trip from the picturesque mountain village of Kvasy. It is famous for the natural source of mineral water. Be sure to try the healing water :)
After that, we will go up to the Menchul valley through a beautiful beech forest. We will put up our tent camp on the hollow.
From Menchul hollow, which is located at an altitude of 1200m, you can admire the views of the Svidovets peaks and nearby wooded hills. Down in the valley of the Black Tisa River stretches the village Kvasy. We walk along the valley and enjoy the sunset and the company. In the season you can buy fresh milk from the shepherds.
In one day we will hike 7 km, gaining 750 m in altitude.
Today we are waiting for the ascent to the fourth highest peak of Ukraine - Petros. The ascent to it from Kvasov is on the picturesque mountain meadows, with a gradual and fairly smooth climb. Gradually we come out on the ridge and go up to the top, admiring the magnificent scenery around.
From Petros there is an unforgettable view of the whole Montenegrin range and its main peak, which is very close (only 9 km) - Hoverla. Our goal for tomorrow. In the meantime we take pictures, enjoy the nature and of course have a snack. Petros is one of the most capricious peaks in terms of weather. We hope that we will be lucky and gentle sun will warm our hearts and hands. We are spending the night on the junction between Petros and Hoverla. There are a lot of blueberries in the season.
During the day we will cover 13 km, the altitude will be 900 m, the drop is 600
We wake up early and hit the road. Today we are going to climb to the highest point of our hike, as well as of the whole Ukraine - Hoverla (2061 m). We will gently gain altitude through the spruce forest, and later it will change into the zone of alpine meadows. The next two days we will walk on the Chernogorsky ridge above the forest zone. Hoverla from the direction of Petros looks like a mighty ridge of an outlandish animal emerging from the stone waves of the mountain sea. After a short rest before the steepest part of the ascent, we climb the last 500 meters to the summit. It's quite crowded here in good weather, especially on weekends. Take a couple of pictures as a keepsake :)
Then we will go on up the ridge and visit the peaks: Breskul (1911m), Pozhizhevskaya (1822m) and Turkul (1933m). Our tent camp will be placed at the alpine lake Nesamovitoe, which is located under the crest of the ridge at the height of 1750 m. In the evening we can go to the top of Mt.
Today we will overcome 9 km with an altitude of 850 m, dropping at an altitude of 630 m.
Those who want to see the mystery of the birth of a new day in the mountains can get up at dawn and climb with a guide from the lake to the nearest slope :) When the weather is good, it is a spectacular and meditative action, which you can only dream of in the city walls. Here, the silence, tranquility, and slowly rose over the horizon disk of the sun, gradually filling with warm light of the misty, still sleeping in the shadow of the hills mountain valleys. A fabulous feeling.
In the early twentieth century the border between Poland and Czechoslovakia passed on the Montenegro ridge. Today we will start our journey from the 32nd boundary post and reach the 18th. On the way we will see the rocks on the Spica spur and the waters of Lake Brebeneskul (1801m). By evening we will turn slightly off the ridge and stop at the beginning of the ascent to the top of Smotrich. There is water and flat places for tents.
During the day we'll hike 12 km, gain 700 m altitude, drop 740 m.
In the morning we will slightly return to the main ridge and climb the last two-thousand meter peak in our hike - Pop Ivan Chernogorsky. It, as a stern mountain guardian, closes the Chernogorsky ridge. After some effort we reach our destination - we are at the vaults of an old Polish observatory "White Elephant"! Where did you get such a name? It is very simple - in winter, observatory is covered with snow and looks like a huge white elephant!
After a little rest we will start descending from the beloved ridge. We are going to visit rocks of Vukhaty Kamen Mountain and walk along its spur among numerous rocks-stands. We will wash ourselves in the Dzembroń waterfalls and walk along a stony path through a wonderful spruce forest. In the evening we'll come out to the Smotrich valley. We'll pitch our tents near the summer shepherd's farm. There will be the opportunity to taste real Hutsul cheese.
We will hike 10 km, we will gain 450 m in altitude, we will drop 850 m.
After having breakfast, we will continue descending and reach the village of Dzembronya. The descent is 4 km, we will drop 500 m.
In Dzembrona we will take a waiting van and go to Ivano-Frankivsk through Verkhovyna. We can make a stop in Yaremche in order to look at the waterfall Probiy, and buy Carpathian souvenirs for friends, relatives and ourselves. In Frankovsk we will celebrate the finish of the hike in a local cafe - the food here is delicious and not very expensive :)
Depending on the weather conditions, condition and general wishes of the group, the teamleader has the right to make changes to the route.
The Carpathians are a very rainy region, and the Montenegro ridge is no exception. So we must be prepared for anything - take a raincoat for sure! Also on the ridge is often a strong wind. Depending on the weather during the day can be both hot and cool. Most of the camps are high-rise, and even summer evenings and nights will be cold - don't forget to take a hat and gloves!

The difficulty of this route is above average. We are expecting long treks of 10 km per day with an average height difference - approximately 600 800 meters. 6 days autonomously with backpacks and overnight stays in tents, significant weight of food, in the first two days a significant gain in altitude and distance. Peculiarity: most of the hike is on the open ridge, a significant number of tourists.
We recommend this route to those who already have experience of hiking.
As always, we recommend that you buy tickets in advance, although there are often vacant seats on trains a week before the start of the hike. You should buy your ticket so that you'll be at the train station in Ivano-Frankovsk by 10 a.m. on the day of the start of the hike. A slight delay is acceptable. Back you buy a ticket for the evening, best of all for 20-22 hours, then you'll have time to walk around Frankovsk and have a drink in one of its pubs. Buy tickets is worth it only after our confirmation of your participation in the hike. You can do this at the ticket offices at the railway station or online on the website "Ukrzaliznytsia".
The meeting place of the group is the waiting room of the Ivano-Frankovsk railway station. The time is determined by the last arriving participant, usually it's 10 am. About 5-7 days before the hike we will send you by e-mail the exact time of the meeting and the contacts of the team leader. Don't forget to check your mail!

Surely you are wondering what we will eat on a hike? Let's just say that you don't have to worry. Many participants say they eat better on the hike than they do at home. The basis of the menu is a simple meal of cereals and soups. You should not count on gourmet delicacies (although they can be).
If you do not eat any products, be sure to inform the manager so that the guide can slightly adjust the menu for you. We also recommend taking some yummies with you - nuts or sweets. Appetite on a hike is much better than at home.
Please note that the menu shown is indicative only. Guides usually have their signature dishes that they love to pamper participants with. And if you have dishes that you would like to receive on a hike, be sure to tell the manager about it, as the guide may have completely different preferences.

On most of the route will be mobile, Internet 3G, but in some places will be lost.
The program has mandatory additional costs for transfers. Their amount you can check with the consultant, as it depends on the cost of fuel and is constantly changing.
There are also optional expenses. Participants buy dried porcini mushrooms, souvenirs, and like to have dinner in a restaurant (for example, in the legendary "Ten"). Minimum recommend taking from 300 hryvnias. And the maximum is up to you.
