We do not cancel or reschedule groups. If the manager has given permission to buy a ticket, you can buy it with confidence. There will be no cancellation through our fault.

During the hike you will climb to the highest peak of the Borzhava - Stoy mountain (1681 m), climb to the top of Veliki Verkh (1598 m), and visit the famous Carpathian waterfall Shipot.

During the hike you will visit a real dead wood, like in fairy tales with evil heroes, see an old abandoned military station, as well as the meteorological station still in operation today.
Borzhava ridge is not like the usual Montenegrin massif or Gorgany. It is unique in its relief and natural gifts.
During the day we will hike 4 km; the altitude of 370 m.
We meet at the railway station Volovets until 12:00 (or at the railway station in Lviv, where you must arrive before 6:30 am; for this option will advise you manager). It is better not to be late! We get acquainted and go to the start point of our route. We are going to the Carpathian village Tyushka, which is located on the slopes of the Borzhava ridge. From the village we are gently climbing up one of the spurs of the ridge, enjoying the views from the road during our resting places. The road leads to the Prislop Pass, not far from where we will spend the night. The higher we go, the more beautiful views we can enjoy.
There is not much to walk to the convenient place for spending the night, so, we will put up our tents, make a fire and cook food. After dinner, we'll dive into the evening atmosphere of relaxation and socializing. Conversations, songs with guitar, games. And then we'll sleep, because in the morning we'll have new adventures.
In one day we will hike 11 km; climbing 620 m, dropping 380 m.

Blueberry paradise awaits us today! The slopes of the Borzhava ridge in the season are covered by a dense carpet of dark purple berries on the green bushes. Having eaten enough, replenished our vitamins and rested a little, we continue our way along Borzhava.
As time goes by the forest becomes less and less, and we come to an open ridge. The scenery is simply breathtaking - you can see for tens of kilometers around, all the way to Romania. In the north, there are wooded ridges - the Beskids. In the east, you can see the Gorgany - somewhere there is Kolochava and Lake Synevyr hidden between the mountains. Overnight stop near the mountain Grab. On its slopes are green beech and hornbeam groves, the age of some trees is impressive! If we are lucky with the weather we will see tremendous sunset from our place. Sunsets at Borzhave are gorgeous!
During the day we will hike 9.5 km; altitude gain 430 m, height drop 800 m.
Today we continue to move further along the ridge Borzhava. Photography lovers are advised to stock up on an extra set of batteries :) There are endless mountains and valleys around, and in front of us there are the rises to the summits of Magura Jide and Gemba. From Gemba we will go down to Shipot waterfall, known to many. Water splits into many streams, which at a low height hit the stone ledges and descend numerous picturesque cascades. The waterfall reaches 14 meters in height.
Shipot is also famous for the fact that since 1993 there is an annual festival that attracts a huge number of tourists, mainly representatives of various subcultures. Originally it was planned as a hippie festival, but now a lot of people come to see such an event. Well, the most grand event is the celebration of Ivan Kupala, which takes place on July 6-7. Bathing in a waterfall, round dances around a huge Kupala bonfire - very impressive and memorable for a long time. Hippie camp functions on the glade all summer and fall - there will be something to see :)
We'll spend the next two nights at Shipot Falls.
During the day we will hike 17 km without backpacks; climbing 1,100 m, dropping 1,100 m.
Today our walks will be radial, i.e. light, without backpacks. We will take only water and snacks with us, as well as a rain jacket. After three days under the backpack you will just fly. First we'll ascend to the most famous peak of the ridge - Velikiy Verkh, where the triangular - metal construction in the form of a pyramid is installed. From this point on a clear day we can see the village of Volovets. Visible and sharp top of the mountain Pikuy, somewhere behind it is the border with Poland.
There are even more blueberries than before. Towards the southwest, at the end of a curving ridge with steep slopes, we can see Mount Stoy, which will be our next goal. The top of this mountain is an almost horizontal platform with a diameter of up to 100 meters. On top there is a five-meter high reinforced concrete stele. There are also mysterious circles - the remains of a once secret radar station, which worked in winter under very difficult conditions. It housed several antennas, which at the time were the latest and top-secret developments of the USSR.
The radar stations were covered with huge white domes that served as a radio-transparent shelter. In a few years, however, the wind simply blew the domes away on the steep slopes of the ridge-so harsh are the conditions here in winter. Similar constructions can still be seen on the top of Mount Tomnatic in the Jalovice Mountains - even one of the antennas of the once secret radar complex has survived there. It is not easy to get there, but you can do it on our May holidays hike through the Carpathians.
From the peaks of Stoy and Velikiy Verkh a magnificent panorama of forests and peaks of the Borzhava ridge opens up. Moving along the narrow strip of the ridge you get the impression of flying over the forests and mountain meadows, mountain streams and Carpathian villages! After admiring the scenery from the peaks we come down to the camp.
During the day we will hike 11 km; climbing 790 m, dropping 510 m.
Good morning! Ahead we have breakfast and gathering of the camp, because another interesting day awaits us: the traverse of Velikiy Verkh and the weather station on the top of Mt. The weather station is working, every day gives the weather report, and in winter and data on the condition of the snow cover on the slopes of the ridge. Another interesting fact is that the Ukrainian writer and journalist Vyacheslav Chernovol used to work here. There is a memorial sign at the top to commemorate him.
For the overnight stay we will go down the slope a little bit to the ruins of the cheese dairy. There is a good spring and a comfortable place for tents. When the weather is favorable, you can also spend the night on the top of Play Mountain, but then you will have to go down the slope for water. The reward will be the sunset and sunrise from the summit.
During the day we'll hike 10 km; 330 m set height, 1000 m reset.
We passed the ridge, we saw the beauty, we ate blueberries, we fulfilled the plan of the trip on all 100% - now we can go down to civilization. From the overnight stop we will go by the ridge to the mountain Temnatyk, then we will go to the top of Voskresenskiy Verkh, and from there by the shady beech-spruce forest we will start the descent to the Volovets village. From Volovets you can get by train to Kiev, Odessa, Kharkov, Zaporozhye, and by electric train to Lviv or Mukachevo. That's how our little, but incredibly interesting journey will end :)

Carpathians, in general, very rainy region, and our route is no exception. We must be ready for anything - rain gear is a must! Also on the ridges and at the tops there can be strong winds. Depending on the weather, it can be hot and cold during the day. And even summer evenings and nights can be cold - don't forget to take a hat and gloves!

As always, we recommend that you buy tickets in advance, although there are often vacant seats on trains a week before the start of the hike. You should buy your ticket so that you'll be at the train station in Ivano-Frankovsk by 10 a.m. on the day of the start of the hike. A slight delay is acceptable. Back you buy a ticket for the evening, best of all for 20-22 hours, then you'll have time to walk around Frankovsk and have a drink in one of its pubs. Buy tickets is worth it only after our confirmation of your participation in the hike. You can do this at the ticket offices at the railway station or online on the website "Ukrzaliznytsia".
The weather in the Carpathians is very changeable, so you should prepare for its surprises in advance. The first thing you should remember is that it rains a lot here, so you should bring a raincoat and a rain cover for your backpack. Second - in the evenings, especially at high-altitude parking lots, it may be cool. Take with you a hat, gloves and jacket.
Surely you are wondering what we will eat on a hike? Let's just say that you don't have to worry. Many participants say they eat better on the hike than they do at home. The basis of the menu is a simple meal of cereals and soups. You should not count on gourmet delicacies (although they can be).
If you do not eat any products, be sure to inform the manager so that the guide can slightly adjust the menu for you. We also recommend taking some yummies with you - nuts or sweets. Appetite on a hike is much better than at home.
Please note that the menu shown is indicative only. Guides usually have their signature dishes that they love to pamper participants with. And if you have dishes that you would like to receive on a hike, be sure to tell the manager about it, as the guide may have completely different preferences.
