Briefly about myself

"Mountaineering is not a sport, it is a way of life" - so say people who have been in the mountains at least once. Back in 1995, when I joined the children's mountaineering and climbing section by chance, I had no idea that mountains would become my disease, my way of life!

Year by year the geography of my ascents grew, I perfected my climbing skills, making more and more difficult ascents. For today I have ascended difficult climbing routes in the Caucasus, Georgia, Pamir, Tien Shan and the Himalayas. Including new, earlier unpassed routes; ascents to all the "seven-thousanders" of the CIS; oxygen-free ascents to the "eight-thousanders" - Makalu, Manaslu and Gasherbrum II.

Training at the Central School of Instructors in 2011 and the great amount of knowledge accumulated during expeditions and trips enables me to work confidently and professionally with groups of climbers of different skill level, from beginners to masters. And stories about my amazing adventures in the mountains will be very handy for a cup of hot tea before bedtime:)

• Master of Sport of Ukraine of International Class in mountaineering (since 2010)
• Member of the national climbing team of Ukraine since 2007
• Captain of the High-Altitude Climbing Team of Ukraine since 2015
• Commander of the Order of Edelweiss II degree (2010, Order Number 123)
• "Snow Leopard" since 2016 (order number 630). Climber of all the highest peaks of the CIS
• Multiple champion of Ukraine on alpinism
• CIS mountaineering champion
• Multiple prize winner of the World Climbing Championships
• The climbs led by Vova have been repeatedly included on the LONG LIST of the International Mountaineering Oscar, the Golden Ice-axe Award in 2007, 2010, 2014 and 2015
• Participant of many national Himalayan expeditions
• Captain and participant of the first traverses of the highest difficulty category 6, including technically difficult winter wall routes
• Instructor-methodist in mountaineering, graduated from the Central School of
• Instructors. According to the results, he was recognized the best cadet of the School, and for the first time in the history of the School he won a grant for free training.
• The Best Mountaineer of Ukraine 2014, 2015, 2016.
• Winner in the nomination "Man of the Year" - 2010.

• Makalu (8485 m), the first ascent of the new 6B category by the new route, without the help of Sherpas and use of oxygen cylinders
• Himal Chuli (7,893 m), first ascent in the new 6B category route without the Sherpas and oxygen tanks
