My name is Vasyl, I am 24 years old. I was born and raised in the heart of the Carpathians - in the village of Yablunytsia, near the Bukovel resort. Every day I saw Petros, Hoverla and the Eastern Gorgan Mountains in front of me - the mountains were and still are an integral part of my life. I am a native Hutsul, and since childhood I have been closely connected with nature, local traditions and mountain life.
Since childhood, I have been fascinated by history, legends, rituals, Hutsul dialects, and later I dived deeper into the study of local culture. I'm also good at herbs and mushrooms - it's not just a hobby, but also part of a family tradition.
I have worked in various fields. But despite this, I have always been most drawn to the mountains.
When travelling, I value silence, spontaneity and the opportunity to discover new things. I especially like one-day solo hikes to little-known places - it's interesting for me to go somewhere I've never been before.
