Hoverla is the most attractive and popular peak that we climb in one day. However, in customised programmes, you can choose any accessible peak in consultation with our advisors and arrange logistics from the hotel where the group is staying. You can also book a transfer with a meeting point in Ivano-Frankivsk.
The minimum group size for bookings is 10 participants. If there are fewer than 10 people in the group, we can still run the programme, but the cost will be the same as for 10 participants. The cost for the eleventh participant and above is the same as the price on the website. We can offer special prices for groups of 40 people or more.

We meet at the railway station in Ivano-Frankivsk. Often there are groups that already have accommodation in a hotel (Yaremche, Tatariv, Bukovel, Vorokhta). We schedule the meeting time with the train according to the arrival time of the participants, but no later than 9 a.m., and preferably even earlier, because it takes about 2 hours to get to the starting point of the hike to Hoverla (or another peak).
After getting acquainted and receiving safety instructions, we will begin our ascent of Hoverla. We will climb without heavy backpacks, taking only the most necessary items with us. First, we will walk through the forest, then we will come out into the alpine meadows. The higher we climb, the more beautiful the views will become. Three hours of fairly steep climbing along the trail, and we will be at the top at 2,061 metres.
The summit is quite crowded in good weather, but that's not surprising. After all, it offers a panoramic view of the Carpathians, visible for tens of kilometres. We'll take some great photos, relax, and remember this moment. If the weather permits, we will have a snack right here (included in the price, provided by the team leader). After that, we will begin our descent, which will follow the same route.
We will reach the forest fairly quickly and, after a two-hour descent from the summit, we will return to the car. The entire climb up Hoverla will take us about six hours. We will get into the minibus and head back to Ivano-Frankivsk (or to the hotel).
Depending on weather conditions, the condition of the group and general preferences, the team leader has the right to make changes to the route.
The Carpathians are a very rainy region. Therefore, you need to be prepared for anything – be sure to bring a raincoat! Strong winds are also common on the ridge. Depending on the weather, it can be either hot or cool during the day.
It is not always the right decision to come to the Carpathians for just one day. After all, if you and your fellow travellers spend 20 or more hours on the train each way, then arrive in the Carpathians for a few hours and immediately board the train again, it can sometimes be difficult to appreciate the value of the trip. We recommend taking at least two days and planning your trip as follows: on the first day, arrive in the Carpathians, go on some easy walks that we can organise for you, and book a hotel; on the second day, climb the mountains at dawn. This is the most popular scenario we work with, and it has received positive feedback.
The programme includes mandatory additional transfer costs. You can check the amount with a consultant, as it depends on fuel prices and is constantly changing.
