You can tackle the routes in any order, depending on your preferences. They are all suitable for first-time visitors and will also appeal to experienced explorers.
Mountain Child – a family hike in the Carpathians – a route specially designed for our youngest hikers: no long walks or steep climbs, and we spend half the day at camp. But the mountains are the real deal. We climb Kostrych (1,586 m), from where you can see the entire Chornohora Range and Hoverla. Along the way – blueberry glades, Hutsul flocks and masterclasses from the team leader: tents, campfires, knots, maps.
The Amazing Cliffs of the Carpathians – a programme packed with all sorts of wonders. The Falcon’s Eye Cliff (Sokolyne Oko) – a forty-metre-high rock face with an arch inside and a cave at its base. Seven waterfalls in succession along a mountain stream. The Bukovinian Carpathians, which look completely different from anything you have seen before.
The Sokilsky Ridge – a gem of the Pokutsk Carpathians, which has yet to attract large crowds of tourists. Three days along the ridge, where every rock has its own name: Svinnyi Huk with ‘Dovbush’s Tongue’, Chortiv Palets, Kashytskyi Kamin, Tuturivsky Kamin – also known as the Bear’s Gate. Just imagine what lies behind these names! And as a farewell, you can toss a coin from the real suspension bridge over the Cheremosh – to ensure you return to the Carpathians.
