About the Teamleader

Hi, my name is Oleksandr. My love for the mountains began with rock climbing (about 10 years ago), although no - the love began much earlier. Mountains have always fascinated me, with rock climbing started my way to the mountains and it went on. I always tried to spend my free time in the mountains and with a tent. And it's not only hiking: biking, mountaineering and my greatest love and passion is paragliding. Having visited the mountains of the Caucasus (Georgia), the Himalayas (India), Macedonia and of course our native Carpathians, I realized that better than mountains can be mountains in which I have not been yet.
Therefore, I invite you to the world of mountains and travel, the world of peace, new discoveries, new acquaintances, understanding (despite all the hardships) that life is beautiful.

Achievements:

  • Alpine training camp in Chaukhi (Georgia)
  • Hiked almost all the Carpathians, including winter ones
  • Paragliding in Colombia, India, Macedonia, and of course the Carpathians (Borzhava, Svydovets, Chornohora)
  • Prizes at various paragliding competitions
  • Backcountry snowboarding on Montenegro and many other diverse travels and adventures

If you start missing the city, it means your hike in the mountains was a success. You can’t help but love a hike to Pip Ivan. The scenery is breathtaking. Sasha is a really cool tour leader. He won’t set off until he’s made sure everyone’s backpacks are comfortable; he feeds everyone first, then eats himself. He’s great at communicating and will answer all your questions, even if they’re silly. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.

The hike turned out to be scenic and not too difficult. Our guide, Oleksandr, had arranged for good weather with a local shaman ☺️ and encouraged everyone during the tough climbs. The first day involved gaining elevation through a lovely coniferous forest. There were almost no other people on the trail; you could only meet other hikers at the shelter camp. The day hikes on the second day—almost like a vacation—featured light backpacks and a relatively brisk pace. They more than made up for the entire hike with their views from Grofa and Parenok. The descent on the third day offered the chance to cool off in a mountain stream and enjoy views of the neighboring mountains.

The best six-day trip I’ve ever been on! The transfer itself took us through picturesque scenery along an interesting route, making for a truly enjoyable ride. A visit to a nature reserve with bears, where they roam practically free. A hike with a light backpack around a picturesque lake. Hikes along the most scenic mountain ridges, visiting several peaks in a single day. The chance to restock (you only need to carry half as much food + buy fresh supplies) and swim in the river in the middle and at the end of the trip. A beautiful village with plenty of sights to explore without a backpack. We were very lucky with the weather: not a drop of rain the entire time! And the group was wonderful—everyone supported each other, set up camp together, and told jokes around the campfire. Special thanks to our guide, Oleksandr! I highly recommend it!
