Morocco is a wonderful place and a country of contrasts! In one trip you can swim in the ocean, wander the narrow streets of Marrakech, see the endless sands of the Sahara, and of course climb the Toubkal, the highest point of Morocco and the Atlas Mountains. Technically the ascent is not difficult, but the height of more than 4000 thousand meters makes itself felt.
Toubkal is a great option for those who want to try climbing in the big mountains, as well as for those who want to combine an interesting trip with an uncomplicated ascent. After all, on this trip we will visit new places every day and enjoy the nature and culture of this unique country.

The program includes a reserve day in case of bad weather, which greatly increases the chances of a successful ascent of the Tubkal.
We do not cancel or reschedule groups. If the manager has given permission to buy a ticket, you can buy it with confidence. There will be no cancellation through our fault.

Experienced Kuluar teamleaders, who have been to Morocco many times, will accompany the participants throughout the program.

The whole group gathers in Marrakech, probably the most colorful city in Morocco. Introductions, a short briefing, check of insurance, clothing and equipment. Depending on the time of arrival participants will have time to walk around the wonderful city and the narrow streets of the Medina (old town), in the evening should definitely visit the central square of Jam el Fna, which after sunset turns into a wonderful mix of market, fast food and amusement strolling artists. Overnight in a hostel.
Today we go to the mountains. We move to Imlil, mountain village, where we will start our way to Toubkal. Here we will settle all the formalities and meet with the local guide who will accompany the group on the ascent (Kuluar teamleader will also be with the group the whole time). Overnight in guest house.
Today we go on to the trek to the Tubkal hut. From it tomorrow we will start our ascent. The passage is not complicated and not long (5-6 hours). On arrival we will have acclimatization trek and short training on hiking in crampons etc. Overnight in the hut.
We go on to the mount at the night. The plan is for the group to be at the summit early in the morning to meet the sunrise at the highest point of the Atlas Mountains! After the summit we return to the hut, a short rest, and continue down to Imlil. Overnight in the guesthouse.
In case of bad weather, the group has a reserve day (accommodation and meals in the hut are included). If the reserve day is not required, the group may return to Marrakech for sightseeing (accommodation in Marrakech in the hostel is included, visits to museums and palaces are not included in the program price) or take a day trip to the ocean to the towns of Mirleft and Legzira, where you can see a unique natural wonder, a stone arch on the ocean (transfer is not included in the program price).
Today from Marrakech or Imlil (depending on the weather) we move to Essaouira. It is a former Portuguese colony on the Atlantic Ocean. The Arabic color is mixed with the spirit of a European port town: the blue and white buildings, the old fort, the port with the blue fishing boats and the fish market. Not far from the old town there is an excellent beach. Overnight at the hostel.
We can spend the morning and part of the day in Essaouira. Then we move to the East. In the evening we arrive in the city of Ouarzazate. Overnight at the hotel.
Ouarzazate is a city on the border of the Atlas Mountains and the desert. Here you can touch the Berber color and visit some interesting sights. Today we will go to Atlas Film Studio where many Hollywood movies were shot, and visit the ancient fortress of Ait Ben Haddou. Overnight at the hotel.
Today we move further East, closer to the endless sands of the Sahara. Right in the middle of the desert we will stop at the village of Merzouga, not far from where we will spend the night in a Berber camp in the desert, and the rest of the day before we will spend right in the middle of the sands of the Sahara.
The whole day will be spent driving back to Marrakech. This evening you can again wander around the Medina of Marrakech and haggle with local vendors for souvenirs to take home with you! Festive dinner. Overnight at the hostel.
Our mountain trip is coming to an end. It's time to buy souvenirs, pack your backpacks, and fly home with unforgettable impressions. We will be glad to see you again in our company.

We live in huts, hostels, and shelters, so there is no need to take tents. There are good toilets, washbasins. There are hot showers - most of them are for a fee. Thanks to these amenities our trip will be much more comfortable than usual hiking in the mountains.
Hot breakfast, dinner, and a snack for lunch. All the time we will eat local food, we will not have to cook.
At low altitudes in spring and fall in Morocco, the temperature is not low, + 20 or higher. Of course, as you get higher, it will get colder. On the night of the ascent, the temperature can be around -10.
The most favorable time of year for climbing Tubkal is spring (March - April) and autumn. In spring there is still snow in the mountains, and by fall it has time to melt completely.
Climbing Toubkal is relatively easy, but in any case participants should be prepared physically. Start running a couple of months before the start of the program and train at least three times a week. Try to run as long as possible at a pace that is comfortable for you. Don't forget that the better your shape, the more energy you'll have to explore the local beauties!
From the equipment you may need only crampons. Their rent is included in the price of the program.
Take a bank card with a chip. Cards with a chip are accepted absolutely everywhere, you won't even see the local currency. But with just a magnetic strip, you can get some problems. Also remember to apply for an unblocked card abroad at your bank, if necessary.

Total costs not included in the price will be approximately 100-200 € + airfare. It all depends on your wishes and possibilities.
*Please, pay your attention: it's not the manager's task to choose a flight for each participant. The manager gives general recommendations, based on his experience and shares the flights of other participants, so you can fly together. It's up to the participant to select and purchase his own convenient airfare. To book a place in the group, you need to make an advance payment of 200 euros. You can do it online at the link or in grivnas of your PrivatBank card. The rest of the payment can be made on the card (at least a week before the start) or you can give it to teamleader on the first day of the trip in cash. In case of disconnection from the route you won't get your money back.
