A brief introduction
Hello! I’m Oksana – your guide to the Carpathians and mountain adventures 🏔️
I’m cheerful, energetic and I absolutely love the mountains. I was born in the picturesque town of Slavsk, amongst the Carpathian peaks, so I think my love for the mountains goes back to my childhood.
I particularly love those moments when, after the rain, mist begins to rise over the mountains – they say that at times like these, the mountains breathe. I also adore the forest, quiet paths and, of course, foraging for mushrooms – for me, that’s a special kind of pleasure. Oh, and I do some cross-stitching, which is actually quite important when you’re in the mountains for a little while 🤭
What fascinates me most is hiking along little-known routes. There, nature seems wilder, there are fewer people, and every peak is special.
I have completed hikes of varying difficulty in the Carpathians and abroad: from Category 1–2 routes to high-altitude ascents in the Alps and the Tatras. One of my most memorable experiences was the Eastern Carpathian Hiking Trail – 286 km in 14 days.
But for me, the mountains aren’t just about routes, peaks and kilometres. They’re also about people. I enjoy meeting people, chatting and listening to the stories of everyone who sets off on the trail with me. After all, every hike isn’t just an adventure, but also a chance to make new friends, experience new emotions and create memories.
My mountaineering experience:
- 🥾 Hikes in the Carpathians of difficulty categories 1 and 2
- 🏔️ Slovak Paradise
- ⛰️ The Alps – Gran Paradiso
- 🏔️ Gerlachov Peak
- 🎒 The Eastern Carpathian Tourist Trail — 286 km in 14 days
- 🏔️ Matterhorn
- 🏔️ Mont Blanc
I invite you to explore the mountains with me – some familiar, some less so; some well-known, some wild, but always authentic 🌿
