My name is Ivan. I am 26 years old and half of my life I have devoted to the mountains. Even in my school years I got into a tourism club - that's where it all began. Since then I went over the Carpathian Mountains far and wide, but I keep coming back to my favorite places - now with the purpose to find where and where I forgot my heart.
I think that the mountains are endowed with the power to change the lives of people who turn to them.
I was born in Ivano-Frankivsk, where from the window of my native 9-story building the outlines of mountains were visible on the horizon. They attracted me, and it was impossible to resist their call.
Over the years of my love for the mountains, I have made many friends, made interesting acquaintances and even more funny stories. My friends joke that I was born in gear and even in maternity hospital I taught obstetricians to tie an oak knot.
In my spare time I improve my mountain climbing skills, practice slackline, ride a bicycle, and ski in winter.
