Rafting on the Irdyn Swamp by kayak is a unique water route through a real peat bog with whimsical labyrinths of reeds, trees and bushes growing right on floating tussocks. This trip is for romantics and lovers of atmospheric locations far from the city bustle: paddling through dense fragrant duckweed, unstable marshlands, wild birds and the singing of frogs, a dense mysterious forest and narrow channels with snags and water plants – no one will remain indifferent! The Irdyn Swamp in Cherkasy region is a new mecca for water tourists from all over Ukraine. For a two-day trip together with experienced Kuluar Splav team leaders, we offer straightforward yet memorable routes through the most interesting parts of the swamp. Inflatable two- and three-seat kayaks, delicious hiking food, stops for rest, swimming and photos, comfortable transfer – everything to make your active vacation comfortable and safe. You can confidently go on this trip with your whole family, including small children, and even bring your pet along.
During the warm season, we run tours every weekend for mixed groups of 8 to 30 participants.

If necessary, we will provide a consultation on preparing for the rafting trip.
We do not cancel or postpone groups. If the manager gave the go-ahead to buy a ticket, you can safely purchase it. The program will not be cancelled due to our fault.
The manager has repeatedly participated in rafting trips and will advise you with expert knowledge.
Experienced Kuluar club team leaders will accompany participants throughout the entire program.

The timing indicated is approximate and may differ slightly from the actual schedule.
6:45 – 7:00 – we meet at the chosen location, participants get acquainted with the instructor, we gather the whole group, load personal gear into the minibus and hit the road (we recommend having a supply of drinking water and a light snack for the trip).
7:00 – 10:00 – we drive to the starting point of the kayaking trip on the Irdyn Swamp, in the city of Smila.
10:15 – 11:15 – we get acquainted with the hiking team, split into crews based on strength and preference, the instructor issues the general group equipment, conducts an introductory briefing, and explains the safety rules.
11:15 – 12:30 – we prepare a hearty breakfast on the shore, enjoy morning coffee and tea, fuel up on calories, pack personal and group gear, get on the water, learn to maneuver and paddle properly in the kayak, and take some great starting photos.
12:30 – 15:00 – we leisurely kayak across the Irdyn Swamp with rest stops, wander through labyrinths of floating tussocks and reeds, wait for those falling behind, the team leader conducts an additional briefing already on the water.
15:00 – 16:30 – we make a stop for lunch on the water or land on the shore to prepare a hot lunch over a campfire, depending on preference, the team's mood, and the weather.
16:30 – 18:30 – having rested, we continue the route across the Irdyn Swamp, choosing a convenient spot with a clearing for the camp and overnight stay on the shore.
18:30 – 23:00 – we set up the tent camp, gather firewood for the evening gathering by the campfire, prepare a delicious hiking dinner from fresh products, do a "debrief" of the day, move on to the most informal and romantic part of the trip – we chat, share emotions and stories, play games, swim in the night river, gaze at the starry sky, lights out whenever you like :)
8:00 – 9:00 – wake up, do a small warm-up exercise, prepare hiking coffee – can be with condensed milk.
9:00 – 11:30 – have a hearty breakfast, start packing up the tent camp and personal gear, collect all our trash, leisurely get on the water.
11:30 – 14:00 – continue the kayaking trip across the Irdyn Swamp to the finish point, making stops along the way for rest and photos.
14:00 – 15:30 – have lunch on the riverbank, rest. Under the instructor's guidance, we dry and pack up the watercraft, sort and pack the gear, load into the minibus that will pick us up.
15:30 – 18:30 – transfer to Kyiv by minibus, drop off participants and personal gear at the specified location.
18:30 – end of the kayaking trip across the Irdyn Swamp, farewell to the team :)
To book a spot in the kayak and transfer, you need to make a deposit of 1000 UAH, and pay the remaining amount to the instructor in person before the start of the trip or to a bank card the day before the tour starts. If you cancel your participation in the trip, the deposit is non-refundable. Rescheduling the chosen participation date while keeping the previous payment is possible no later than 7 days before the start.
Depending on weather conditions, the group's condition and general wishes, the instructor has the right to make changes to the route.
To take part in the trip, you must have no illnesses incompatible with active tourism.
Cost of renting sleeping gear:
The kayaking trip will take place in any weather, except when it is potentially dangerous to the participants' health. If you are unsure whether your chosen trip gear is correct, consult with the manager again.
What makes a water trip different from a hiking trip? Here you can cook fish soup from fish you caught yourself!
The price depends on the chosen watercraft (kayak or SUP board) as well as on the duration of the trip.

For children under 3 years old, participation in the trip is free (without a separate seat in the kayak), for children under 6 years old there is a 30% discount, and for children under 13 years old a 20% discount.
The following can be added to the tour program for an additional fee:
✔ Rental of stand-up paddleboards (SUP), master class with a trainer.
✔ A support vehicle that will transport personal belongings and food.
✔ Individual menu, meal planning and shopping.
✔ Services of cooks/logistics staff for the days of the tour, who will prepare food for the participants.
✔ Photographer/videographer services, musical accompaniment.
✔ Organization of a water/hiking quest, action training.
✔ Rental of tents, tables, chairs and other camping furniture for a large group.
