Program of safari in Serengeti and Ngorongoro is an opportunity to visit 2 of the most popular national parks in Tanzania. In modern jeeps equipped with everything we need for comfortable and safe animal watching, we will drive through the roads of protected areas in search of the rarest and most impressive representatives of African fauna. The logistics of the route are carefully thought out: on safari we live in campsites within the parks and spend a minimum of time on transfers.
Ngorongoro is located in a volcano crater and is a closed ecosystem. You can go here all year round, as the number of animals remains consistently high. Serengeti is the largest national park in the country and boasts the route of the Great Migration of Animals, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa. Ngorongoro and Serengeti safari participants arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport in northern Tanzania. After meeting your guide, you will be transferred to your hotel near the town of Arusha. The rest of the day will be spent relaxing and getting to know each other.
Today the plan is to get up early, because we want to spend as much time as possible directly on safari. Our first destination is Ngorongoro National Park, located in a huge volcano crater. The walls of the crater reach several hundred meters in height, and therefore animals practically do not leave the territory of this park. A unique ecosystem is formed here with a huge variety of all kinds of animals, and the density of predators in Ngorongoro is the highest on the continent! We will see elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalos, hippos, lions, leopards, caracals and even pink flamingos living in the Magidi Lake in the middle of the crater. And if our luck holds, we will also be able to observe a black rhino, which is considered a great success.
In the evening we move to the hotel, located in the vicinity of the Serengeti Park.
The Serengeti National Park occupies a large area (14.7 thousand square kilometers) and is located quite far from international airports, so it is advisable to go here for several days at once. As part of this program we will spend 3 days on safari in the Serengeti, exploring its central, northern, eastern and southern parts, which are very different from each other both in terms of landscapes and species represented.
In Serengeti you can meet the "Big Five of Africa". These are the animals that are considered the most fortunate to see on safari. They include lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo. It is worth noting that the Serengeti is permanently home to about 3,000 lions, so the chance of meeting this impressive predator is very high. Also, the Serengeti lies on the path of the Great Migration of Animals. During this, millions of antelope, zebra and buffalo travel great distances in search of food – a truly amazing sight!
We will camp overnight on days three and four at special campsites in the park. We will have large comfortable tents at our disposal. And in the evening of the fifth day we will return to our hotel in Arusha.
Safari in Serengeti and Ngorongoro is over. We go to Kilimanjaro International Airport and fly home. Or you can continue to explore Tanzania and climb Kilimanjaro and visit the paradise island of Zanzibar.
A yellow fever vaccination is not necessary to visit Tanzania. The exception is if you are traveling from potentially dangerous countries (mostly central Africa).
There are no vaccinations against malaria, you don't need to take medicine in advance either – it's a big burden on the organism. Just in case, we buy medicines against malaria on the spot, but there have been no cases in our groups yet.

Tanzania is located near the equator, so there are no seasons that we are accustomed to, and it is possible to conduct safaris all year round. But you should know that there are rainy seasons. The first of them lasts from March to May, the second is in November. During these months, there are fewer animals in the national parks than during the rest of the year. This is not the case in Ngorongoro Park, where the number of animals is almost the same throughout the year.

On safari in Tarangire and Ngorongoro you can see such wild animals as antelope, buffalo, zebra, giraffe, gazelle, elephant, hippo, rhino, crocodile, lion, leopard, cheetah, caracal, jackal, hyena and many others. You can also see more than 500 species of birds in these places.
The most honorable result of a safari is to see and photograph the "big African five": elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard.
