This was my first trip with Kuluar. We climbed Petros and Hoverla. The trip lasted 3 days and 2 nights. I really wanted new impressions and emotions, and I got them in full. Kuluar helped us with equipment, for which huge thanks to them! (We started planning the trip at the last moment and couldn't find everything we needed anywhere). Our group was small (4 people and a guide). I was the only girl in the group and, naturally, lagged behind, but I didn't feel abandoned) The guys always waited for me, stopped when a little rest was needed and helped a lot during the descent!
We were veeery lucky with our guide! It was Leonid Verestun. Very cheerful, lively man, a musician with a beautiful voice, and a cook too!! He took care of our safety, fed us insanely delicious food and told many interesting stories and jokes) We definitely weren't bored! The trip itself was physically challenging for me. It was an unusual load (especially on the legs), but when you climb to the summit and look at the views that open up before you, you feel real bliss! For me this is an association with achieving success. You slowly but surely move towards your goal, you climb, you get very tired, thoughts appear to give up everything and leave, but you keep moving forward and finally achieve what you wanted so much.
Guys, this is a really cool experience! I recommend taking the preparation seriously and in advance. There are a lot of people wanting to get to the Carpathians and it's not always possible to find the necessary equipment. Don't take with you what you won't use. Thankfully, I gave up on bringing a book on the trip. There was absolutely no time to read it and it would have just taken up space in the backpack and been extra weight. Remember that everything you take needs to be carried on your own back!
I want to draw attention to footwear!! I had trekking shoes (Columbia montrail). They were very comfortable and not particularly scary during the descent (especially on small stones). I wish everyone cool trips and unforgettable impressions! Once again thanks to Kuluar, especially our guide Leonid!
