Even in the hardest times you can find inner strength — on Carpathian trails where wind, sun, and boundless space bring healing and hope to those who truly need them. On 1 July, the Kuluar tourist club launched the 2025 season of charitable rehabilitation hikes with a trek for children and their families affected by the war.
Kuluar has run this program every year since the start of russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Its goal is to help families who have experienced loss or were forced to leave their homes regain psychological balance through the power of mountain nature.
Three days in the Western Gorgany proved healing for nine participants — adults and children. Together with team leader Vira Voloshyna they ascended Hrofa and Parenky peaks, breathed the forest air, and restored inner peace and energy on the Carpathian paths.
The mountains do not ask who you are or what burden you carry; they simply heal.
We sincerely believe that such hikes give strength and support to everyone who needs them 💚
During 2025, the club has planned two more dates for this rehabilitation route so that other families can receive support and feel the power of the mountains.
