“Hello Kuluarovtsi! Today we are going to tell you a short and bright story.
Last year for St. Nicholas Day we, together with the store “Team Axe” organized a charity auction “Shchastia in the Mountains”. The main goal of the auction was to raise money for a hike for children who do not have the opportunity to see the wonderful world of the mountains themselves. There were 14 lots participating in the auction. Thanks to the winners of the auction we raised 38500 UAH.
And today we are going to tell you about one of the hikes we have already done.
First we looked for children. Surprisingly, it is very difficult to find an orphanage, or children who do not have the opportunity to go to the mountains themselves. Only thanks to the advice of friends of the club and a lot of searching, we found the Vyshgorod district orphanage “Lyubistok” which agreed to help us organize and process all the necessary papers.
After that everything went according to a well-established pattern: we settled the dates and route, found a guide, bought tickets and transfers, booked equipment rentals and purchased food.
All expenses were paid from the funds raised at the auction “Shchastia v Gory.
And so a group of 8 children (from the district orphanage “Lubistok” village Novi Petrivtsi and members of the project VIPuskniki) together with 2 chaperones went into the mountains.
VIPuskniki is a project, which takes place the third year. Its participants are inmates of orphanages and boarding schools, children with disabilities and from families in difficult circumstances, who are finishing school.
The hike took place from 2 to 4 July on the route of the club “Kuluar” – Hike on the Borghava for children. It is not difficult, but very picturesque and interesting route, which passes through the peaks Velikiy Verkh and Stoy. Also participants saw one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Ukraine – Shipot.
The guide was Ivan Gladunyak.
During the trip we had our first ascents to the summits and first nights in tents, there were songs and dances, and smell of fire, the most delicious borscht, and most importantly – the emotions of children to whom we opened the wonderful world of mountains. And, we hope, we fell in love with them forever!
Very nice and touching moment – children made a video about the trip. So you can see their emotions below
Maria Koval, who found the contacts of the orphanage and arranged the camping trip.

Irina Timchenko, our coordinating manager, who did everything for the organization and comfort of the trip for the children

We have two more campaigns ahead of us, and we’ll tell you about them a bit later.
Do good and
Happiness in the mountains!
