It was tough.. A lot of trail-breaking, a lot of pretty steep sections. And at the end, a rather difficult rocky section. Especially at altitude, you had to pass people, they're pushing back and forth.
No strength left, you have to scramble
Honestly, I've had enough of this oxygen deprivation. Even with oxygen, after 8000 you take a step, 10 breaths.
My back aches, constantly back and forth with this tank, back and forth
And look what happened with us. It turned out that we basically went for Everest from the third camp. Because in the fourth we didn't sleep. We arrived, two hours, had tea, ate, couldn't manage to sleep
We came down to the fourth camp, but others had taken our tent, so we couldn't rest on the way down either. It was easier to just keep going straight down.
I barely drank any water, from eight in the morning until evening just one cup of tea.
Now I don't know whether to go for Lhotse, I'm very tired and the mountain's condition isn't great. Plus my toes got pressed so badly that I descended through tears. I won't go for Lhotse. Don't feel like risking it again.
But the main thing is that we did the main thing! We climbed Everest, and I'll come back for Lhotse next year!
