This was the first five-day mountain hike of my life.
Before that, I’d only been on a few one-day round-trip hikes.
Here’s a brief summary of my impressions from the hike:
Endless panoramas: views stretching for tens of kilometers in every direction.
The grandeur of the 2,000-meter peaks: the chance to conquer all of Ukraine’s highest summits.
Contrasting landscapes: lush mountain meadows give way abruptly to rugged rocky scree slopes.
The high-mountain lake “Brebeneskul” is stunningly beautiful.
The work of our group leader Olga and the warm, friendly atmosphere she created on the hike deserve a separate story highlighting her best qualities!!!
