The Ukrainian expedition returned to Ukraine

The Everest climbers flew to Kiev:

• Nikita Balabanov - the leader of the group on Everest, the winner of the "Golden Ledorub", the most prestigious award in the world of mountaineering
• Natalya Vladykina (Kiev)
• Sergey Denisenko (Tashkent)
• Sergey Belov (Riga)

And also the members of the expedition to Lhotse

• Taras Pozdnii - the first person who brought crypto-currency on Everest
• Dmytro Semerenko - the first Ukrainian from Dnipropetrovsk to summit Everest  

There were a lot of flowers, joy, smiles and tears of happiness, because the loved ones who had been away for about two months finally came home! The meeting was attended by friends, relatives and the media. And also the representatives of the National Registry of Records of Ukraine. 

Natalia Vladykina became the first woman from Kiev, who climbed Everest! She received a diploma for that! 

Taras Pozdnii, the head of the Kuluar club, the participant of the Lhotse expedition, gave his comment about the expedition: 

"The 2021 Everest season was especially difficult for several reasons: 

The first is the weather conditions. First, the weather window was very early and closed on May 12. We were ready for the decisive assault, waiting in the second camp, but the weather turned abruptly bad and we had to descend.  The second weather window was very short, windy and risky. We were afraid of frostbite and we did not want to risk our health. Therefore we focused on the third window, which fell on May 29-30. By that time a lot of snow had fallen on the mountain and the ropes had to be dug out and fixed all over again. At the time of our team's ascent there was a strong wind, but the sun was shining brightly! This contributed to a successful ascent! 

The second difficulty of this year was the kovid. Many participants and Sherpas from other expeditions fell ill during their stay in base camp. Many expeditions simply folded up without even an attempt to ascend. High altitude guides had to go down because of sickness and could not continue work on the mountain. Fortunately our team bypassed this. We took care of ourselves as best we could. 

In spite of all of the above, I am glad that all 6 participants climbed Everest and fulfilled their dream! 

For me, and for Nikita Balabanov (Everest team leader) this is the most important thing! 

I'm proud that now a Ukrainian company will take international teams to Everest! "
