Hello friends, our expedition team decided to go down to the base camp because of tiredness and weather conditions. Read the details!
As we wrote earlier, on the night of May 11 two Kuluar groups started climbing Everest and Lhotse to the high-altitude camps. The Khumbu Icefall was passed at night without any problems. But after Camp 1, the rays of the rising sun, reflecting off the snowy slopes, made the subsequent ascent very hot and exhausting. The climbers reached Camp 2 exhausted. The updated weather forecast, promising strong winds from 14 May, didn't make us feel optimistic either.

Under these conditions it was jointly decided to go down to Everest Base Camp and wait for the next weather window, which is expected on the 20th of this month. Our heroes are already safely descending and recovering after the first ascent attempt. We wish them luck and stay tuned for more news!
