Overall, everything was great: the organisation, the team leader, the chef, the team, the trip itself. But the route was difficult.
Now for the details. My husband and I went on a 3-day rafting trip down the Dniester River in August 2025 (22 km + 28 km + 20 km). The goal was to recharge and relax in nature. We had previously gone kayaking with both organised paid groups and independently. It had never been so difficult. We paddled a lot, and my husband and I were very tired. Other participants also complained about the difficult paddling and asked the team leader for an easier route. He felt very sorry for us and reduced the distance a little on the second day. We came home without having rested at all. On the way, we overtook another group from another tour operator, where people stopped on the water, joined their kayaks together, talked, swam, laughed, and took it easy. We even laughed as we overtook them and greeted them, saying that whoever chooses the wrong tour operator has to row like crazy 😀.
Now for the good stuff: the wonderful team leader Andriy will help with everything, explain, advise, wait, and give a discount to the weaklings who can barely breathe. Chef Svitlana is a very positive and interesting person, she cooked delicious food and took great care of all the "camp" amenities.
And it's great that the participants don't have to cook for themselves — that's a big plus.
Beautiful river and scenery. High-quality equipment. A few oars need a little repair, but otherwise everything is great. It's a wonderful idea to have the equipment and belongings transported by car behind the camp. The driver of the minibus back to Frankivsk is a nasty jerk. He refused to turn on the air conditioning, we were barely alive as it was, and then we had to spend an hour shaking over bumps in the heat in the minibus. He responded incoherently to requests and did not want to meet us halfway. The manager and team leader organised everything efficiently and empathetically.
Do I recommend the company? Yes, definitely. Kuluar put a lot of effort into organising the trip, everything was great and I liked it, except for the above. I hope they will fix this by next year.
