An incredible hiking experience with Kuluar!
We recently returned from a three-day hike through the heart of the Carpathians (a route via Lake Nesamovite (1,750 m), Mount Turkul (1,933 m), Mount Shpytsi (1,863 m), and Mount Rebra (2,001 m)). As a bonus, we also managed to climb Mount Gutyn Tomnatyk (2,016 m)!
The experience and the views were simply out of this world.
What I liked the most:
1. Organization and preparation: I’d like to give a special shout-out to the excellent communication—Kuluar sends all the necessary information and a packing list to the group chat before the hike, so it’s very easy to get ready and you won’t forget anything important.
2. Food: Kuluar fully provides everything you need in terms of food, so you don’t need to buy anything extra or bring anything with you. There was so much food that our team leader Denis’s signature joke, “Finish it all!” accompanied us throughout the entire trip.
Everything was truly delicious and filling.
3. Atmosphere and Flexibility: We enjoyed perfect sunny weather for the first two days, and on the third day, we were put to the test by Carpathian rain—but that only added some real hiking flair to the trip!
4. Gear rental: A big plus—if you’re missing any gear, you can easily rent everything you need right at #Kuluar.
Tips and recommendations for future participants: Footwear and rain gear: Be sure to bring high-quality, waterproof hiking boots, good hiking socks, as well as a reliable poncho and a rain cover for your backpack. The weather in the mountains is unpredictable! Trekking poles: These are a must-have! Your knees will definitely thank you during the climbs and long descents. Thank you to the Kuluar team and our team leader for the excellent organization, safety, and atmosphere! We’ll definitely go with you again! 🏔️🎒✨
