In my opinion, this is a great hike for people who want to try a somewhat different, less "civilized" kind of mountain hike. A member of your team has (hypothetically) broken a leg up high — what do you do? Do we turn into the windfallen forest now, or hope that the dotted trail on the map hasn't grown over yet and we can get through on it? Making decisions that affect the difficulty and length of the route. Realizing that a tent and a bowl are optional, and that however hard it gets, it's not the end of the world.
